Ineffective outside (in temps <65-F), noxious smell prevents indoors usage.

I bought a 6 pack of these sticky traps after I used the "Black plastic" version of these traps previously. The 6-pack white glue traps are ineffective in cold temperatures (anything below 65 degrees F). Also they have a horrible smell, and I had to double Ziploc freezer bag the box to try to contain the stink (from the glue). Usually chemical smells don't bother me (high voc-automotive paint, epoxy, methanol, Kroil.... all don't bother me), but the glue in these traps is noxious.
Forget trying to use these inside, they will fill the room with a horrible smell.
Also if left exposed outdoors, they get a fine coating of dust and are useless.
I tried to uses them inside the engine bay of seasonal cars (summer only cars), where they weren't exposed to wind/dust. I tried several of the traps from the 6x double pack, and they all failed to catch mice. The mice ate the peanut butter that I put in the trap-center, then pooped on the trap, and ran off to make nests inside my car.

Either my mouse was incredibly intelligent or these things do not work

Had a mouse in my house, tried all sorts of things including these sticky pads. Either my mouse was incredibly intelligent or these things do not work. For days it would not come anywhere near the sticky pads, even when I additionally baited them with chunks of cheese, pieces of chicken, etc. I then bought the $2 old style trap and left it out baited with peanut butter together with multiple sticky pads baited with additional peanut butter. WIthin 2 hrs I had a mouse with a broken neck in the old-style trap. It had completely ignored the sticky pads yet again.
This catches mice!

Works great. Some of the poor reviews are just strange...I left it in the rain and then it did not work..........Saw a rat paw but it escaped my mouse sticky pad. Come on people, really?
So I have a house in the mountains and at the change of seasons fall and spring we get a ton of mice that come in I think form the heat rods in the driveway and other places I simply cannot find. When I come to the house there will be sometimes 4 mice in one trap...obviously some did nto get the message! My management company said one caught a whole family of baby mice. That is a good thing, die mice, die!

Caught one the first night..

(6/16) So we trapped one the first night. The second night one definitely became stuck, temporarily, lost a lot of fur and pooped itself, but managed to drag the trap a good 12 feet before wiggling free and escaping :/ so I've laid out more traps and hope to catch the bigger mouse soon. I don't want to have to upgrade to a more powerful snapping trap.
The bait is not evenly dispersed across the tops of these sticky traps. I did leave a broken up oyster cracker in the centre of each one after laying it down. The cracker's an excellent lure. Definitely add a little something extra to the centre of the trap so there's an incentive for the rodent to step across the surface and become stuck!
I have these traps under the toe-kick by the stove and half-slid under a closet door that has a full inch of space under it where I think the mouse has been hiding!
Good luck!
Update (6/21/17) soooo we caught a 2nd mouse yesterday! So far these traps have been worth the $! I hope I never need them again, but at least I know I can count on them to work like a charm! I'll update again if we catch any more. We have no idea how many found their way in, so we don't know how many we'll find, stuck to these traps!

Greatest mouse trap ever

These things have always worked like a charm. Even if the mice are not stupid to take the bait. They are dumb enough to try and run over these and get stuck. I put one of these out before I went to work and came home to a furry little surprise squiggling on the trap. Needless to say I waterboarded it and moved on. If you are looking for a good reliable trap this is perfect for corners little passage way mice like to run along.
