Preliminary review until I've used the item for a few weeks.

I'm apparently REALLY hard on headphone extension cords. I've been through several over the past few years. So I decided this time around to give this item from JacobsParts a shot.

My first thought when I received the package was "This CAN'T be a ten foot cable, can it?" The cable is SMALL! Wrapped in the wire tie this looks more like a pair of shoe laces than a ten foot audio cord. The cord itself is about 3mm thick and fabric wrapped. It feels very sturdy, quite flexible and strong. The plug and jack seem well connected and solid. When plugging into the jack there is a positive snap, showing the connection is strong and well made. Overall this seems to be a VERY well made cable. The question, as it is with all inexpensive accessories, is will it hold up? Time will tell but so far I really like this little guy. I will return with an update in a couple of weeks.

FOLLOWUP: I've been using this cord for three months. I'm UNBELIEVABLY hard on headphone extension cables. I've used this to test numerous sets of earbuds so it has been through a large number of plug/unplug cycles. I've run over it repeatedly with my desk chair on a tile floor. I've yanked it accidentally several times. And shockingly this little, cheap cable is still going strong! I believe I'm going to order a few more to toss in the drawer as spares, but the way this one is going I may not need them for a while. THIS is definitely a purchase worth making. You can't go wrong!

Okay, so it's only six feet longer than I needed, but I much prefer that than six feel shorter than I would have needed. I plugged in and it works. The casing/coating is a cloth, which I've never dealt with before. But I'm thinking it might actually protect it better because it's so flexible. And then, I'm in a unique position, I have a cat that chews plastic, this is cloth, so maybe she'll leave it alone. But it does seem to offer quite a bit of protection. Time will tell the longer I use it. But I've had it for awhile and it does what it was bought for and I have no complaints.

I was skeptical when I first opened the package and found a extension cable wrapped in cloth like material but as I examined it more the quality was above and beyond for the price this product will last for a long time coming

Nice material but was way thinner then expected not a whole lot of cable capacity good for someone who is a music listener not for recording

No loss in tone or quality when used with amp allows for free movement while sitting or standing, I can snake it through the back, allows me to feel hands-free without the worry of the wire connected to my standard headphones on both sides of its connection to amp and headphone Jack
