It's a bear proof trashcan....and I'm amazed it keeps the raccoons out!! I could see their little muddy paw prints on the can's lid and on the latch that keeps it locked. What a relief to not have trash all over.
Note: the can is very large and heavy, but it's perfect for me. Peace of mind.

This trashcan has been great! Bears have become bored with it, because they can't get into it. Had one bear who tried to take it home with him but left it in the street. I now have it chained to a post. Highly recommend.

I'm pleased to report that in spite of many efforts on their part, this can was black bear proof!
We have smallish black bears in our neighborhood, and they have been unable to open the can
(they do knock it over and drag it around).
