Final thought:: DO NOT BUY THIS ITS GARBAGE.
This thing is a monster. its very well made and sharp like you can not believe, I have the small 18 inch and now the 23 inch the 23 inch one is pretty big but will cut down a tree with no problem. I take them camping with me to clean out pathways.
UPDATE 4/26/2015
I used it again today for the third time cutting up some gumbo limbo braches I think its a pretty soft tree and it snapped in half. Very disappointed. Going to call the company tomorrow about a replacement. lets see how that goes. I think they will make me pay the shipping both ways if thats the case it would cost more in shipping both ways and my time I will just forget it and throw it away. I think that's the companies plan anyway.
UPDATE 3/27/2016
I have the replacement from the first one that broke. I have been scared to use it again. Well I was trimming the same tree again. and Guess what? I was trying to be really careful and not swing it hard I was going nice and soft after may twenty cuts in 1 to 1 1/2 inch branches the new one broke too. If you plan on really using this don't buy it, its garbage. I love the way it feels when you swing it but what the point having if you can use it. I went back to my cheap China made $5.99 machete from Northern Tool.
