Very happy with the product. Product I received was perfectly described. I am using in a somewhat unconventional way. I live in an older home with radiators and poorly insulated walls. I am wrapping cardboard with the mylar and placing behind the radiators to reflect more heat into the house instead of into the poorly insulated wall. It is actually working really well and my heating bill last month with significantly lower than in previous years.
Work great for additional insulation on basement windows.

My mom used these for years to help insulate the basement windows. I noticed a difference almost immediately after putting them up. They do tear easily so use with caution. I also keep in the car for emergencies! Everyone needs one!

Mylar blankets are a good thing to keep on hand. Everyone should have some. Keep some in your car at all times. You can wrap yourself in them, cover your windows with them (with some tape), signal with them, they're very shiny, or even help someone else in need! Also, with some duct tape and rope or paracord, you can improvise a temporary shelter with them. Basically make a small tent or even a teepee. They can also be used to collect rainwater. Be sure to boil it before you drink it.
All in all, Mylar blankets are a must have for any vehicle or bug out bag. You get ten of them for less than a buck each, so you can't go wrong there, and as the saying goes, "It's better to have something and not need it, than to need it and not have it".

Great for emergencies

I purchased these after I came upon a two car roll over and used the two in my car to offer some place for the victims to lay on as they were pulled out of the vehicles. They are inexpensive and disposable and were a great asset in an emergency. I now keep several in each vehicle for emergencies, and put one in each of my children's cars.

Using these against the wall and as a curtain around indoor plants has saved us considerably on power by concentrating light on the plants. They also help keep indoor plants that prefer warmer climates happy during Winter months.
