Bought this track set from gigglebabies fulfilled by amazon prime.
Good price for number pieces I received - they are all practical pieces for construction.
The connector are loose, compare with fisher price bought from toysrus. If I make square loop using the 6" turns and 6" straight, 2 at a group, I could easily save 2.5" on one of the straight. Such loose connection plus in consistent surface finishing cause consistent detailing at the same points of a loop, while using better quality track will not have such problem.
End up returning it - for young kids, I would love to give them a more positive experience compared to the adult world. This will form their value and future.
A quality set of similar set up will cost 4 times the price - like many other toys - balanced bike, scooter - yet they will benefit the kids through their minor years - well worth it.

I have an Ikea track set that I wanted to add to, but didn't want to continue buying Ikea pieces because the selection is limited. I'm happy to report that this set works with the Ikea track almost perfectly. There are a few pieces that are a tight fit, but nothing that a file can't correct. My 4 year old son loves his new train set. We will order more next year.

I purchased this for my 4 yo grandson to add to a smaller set of Thomas The Train set. I took a chance on this set even after reading the negative reviews of this product. I will say that NONE of the problem brought out by others who purchased this item, existed in my set. The only tracks without an underside mirror image of the top were the straight tracks, which do not need two sides. The tracks fit (tightly) on the wooden Thomas tracks, and,at this price, so what? We experienced absolutely no splinters, and my grandson used every piece to assemble a large track, including his original Thomas tracks. I was ready with sandpaper as other reviewers mentioned that the ends would not fit in all the holes. Again, the set we have did not have problems fitting - actually they are tight so it takes some strength to pull them apart, which I did not mind because small feet knock into them while playing with trains on the track. Overall, little to complain about, especially for the price.

I purchased these for my grandsons to play with at our house. They both have the IKEA train sets with plastic end pieces. These teacks are great quality and solid wood pieces. We were disappointed that one of the straight tracks was broken in the package. The solid wood end piece was broken. On the IKEA pieces this part is plastic, so I'm hoping these tracks are as durable. The packaging was wonderful and the broken piece was not included, so this must have been overlooked. Also there was a thin layer of plastic that didn't peel easily off of the tunnel included. It took 30 minutes and a bunch of goo gone to get it off.
