We live in north Cal and these work really great. I had tried many brands and these work the best. It might be different in your area, but for us all ants will be gone in less than 24 hours. Highly recommended. Also the amount of mess with these is minimal. Just cut the bait open, put it on a piece of paper towel, and after 24 hour take the bait full of dead ants to the trash.

Tiny ants making a trail behind the range. Made a solution of Terro powder, heavily concentrated sugar water. Ants loved it but the numbers seemed to drop off. Placed the bait over the solution. The bait was found quickly and ants were crowding the inside. Can't say for sure, but there seem to be more ants and they are very attracted to the bait. Since the ratings are many and favorable, I am going to assume it works. Will come back if it doesn't work.
2 days later: still works, but too many ants drowned in the bait. It's a balance act to fill the middle reservoir so the ants stop there but doesn't work well. Left a drop at the entrance and the ants are gathering there. Since the main ingredient is borax, it may be cheaper to make my own solution of borax and sugar water. Using corn syrup may last longer, as a solution which ants seem to prefer. Sugar water evaporates and becomes a sticky goo in a day.

Ridiculously effective!!! I first went to the local store and bought RAID Ant Baits. The ants simply walked around the traps and showed ZERO interest. How is RAID still in business, I do not know!?!! I went online and did some research and this Terro Liquid Ant Bait product was getting rave reviews and a lot of positive feedback. I bought some, opened up 3 of the 6 packs on Ant Bait, and within MINUTES, yes MINUTES, the ants were literally coming out of the woodwork to get to this stuff. Within 2 days, not a single any survives.YAY Terro. Thank you so much for this excellent product.

I purchased these bait traps after trying two other different brands that didn't really seem to produce any results. These TERRO traps worked GREAT, though! The ants were immediately interested in the bait and before I knew it, they were all over these traps. Within 24 hours, I noticed a HUGE reduction in the number of ants. Within 48 hours, there were no others spotted. Definitely the best bait traps I've used so far, and I will buy and use them again for any future ant invasions.

I bought 6 packets to fight off thousands of ants that entered the center of my house as soon as the first day the outdoor temperature suddenly dropped a lot. I left a dozen of these around the dishwasher (where ants had got all over the dirty dishes), the tv room, both bathrooms, and by an outside door. I left then out for 48 hours, but they it really only took overnight to see major improvement. I put them back out while out of town for Thanksgiving for 4 days in a row and haven't seen an ant indoors since.

I also used the outdoor version around the pier foundation of the house wherever pipes connected to the house because I suspect that is how most of the ants entered the house from below.
