Great mouse that will become junk with no working solution
Neil NelsonSeptember 3, 2018
I bought this mouse July 2017. I really loved the customizable buttons. I really loved a lot about this mouse. It found a lot of use as a gamer and someone who spends a lot of time work wise or casual use. However, just a few days ago, the mouse crapped out on me.

I searched social media sites, online tech, Logitech's website, and just did a web search for any information I could find to fix the problem. Whatever the problem was, the mouse wouldn't stay connected. I tried uninstalling and rolling back drivers, fresh install of Logitechs software, keeping the sensor closer, trying USB2 or USB3, swapping batteries, cleaning the mouse, windows update, restarts, and so many combinations of this and other things. To no avail, I ended up buying a cheap Piktec (sp?) Gaming mouse until I find a good replacement.

I'm really disappointed because a little over a year is terrible lifespan for brand and product quality. Just for your informatio, it seems the batteries drain faster because of the connection problems. Also, the scroll wheel click would not work and solutions online resulted in blowing out the dust which surprisingly worked. Sadly, no solution worked for this current surprise problem. I tried the mouse just moments ago hoping that time would heal this wound but also nothing.

I'd recommend looking at other Logitech mice or maybe some other competitor. If you really are dead set on this then good luck. Just fair warning that I wasn't the only one who experienced this problem.
Mouse is great, but this User did a silly thing - read my full post to avoid my mistake.

Save yourself some embarrassment when you first change batteries. First, take careful note that both AA's go in the same way. I did notice that because I'm used to 2-battery devices requiring the + and - being opposed (between the two); these have both + and one end and both - at the other. Second - and this is the one I did not know - when you replace the batteries and turn on the mouse using the switch on the bottom, do not expect the laser to light up and, when you see it NOT light up, conclude that the mouse is broken. Yes, I did contact Logitech. Yes, they were polite. Yes, I did feel like a twit. So I'm posting this here to save you possible embarrassment. The mouse is GREAT. My son thinks the side buttons are too close to one another (he uses a Celotes C-12), but I like the buttons close. If you do as well, you'll love the buttons and the mouse. All the buttons work fine, reprogramming is easy, and the mouse shape, size and feel are just right for me. Logitech's Customer Service contacted me promptly. Can't ask for better.
Great product with a huge flaw

I love this month, but not to happy with the price. But if your patient, you can get it cheap. But I give it only 2 stars because after 1 month of use, my mouse has bite the dust. It just stopped working! I replaced the battery 3 times with no luck. It just won't power one. Contacted logeitch who tell me they are up to their neck in RMA and it would be faster for me to return to store. Ummm... ya what great CS! That will diffineitly make me buy another Logitech product.
1+ Year Use Review...and this is still my favorite mouse!

1+ Year Use Review. Over a year later, and this is still my favorite mouse! It feels great in my hand and is customizable to many degrees, especially if you program it with the Logitech software which you can download from their websites. You can customize battery usage, there 8 additional buttons, besides the two main buttons and the scroll wheel...ALL BUTTONS ARE REPROGRAMMABLE. I use the mouse at work for graphic design, which it is great for, but it's also good for PC games. The mouse can pretty much be used on any flat surface. I did my research before buying this mouse and I am still very happy with my purchase. When I originally bought it, it was twice the price it is now, so if you are looking for a decent mouse and this is under $30, do yourself a favor and make the purchase. The G602 is about 5in in length, so it's not a tiny mouse, good for extended usage.

Functions very well. Experiencing no lag, and cannot honestly tell a difference using this vs my wired gaming mice. Probably the most comfortable mouse I've ever had. Have used it for Gaming, Photoshop and Production and it operates very well for each.

Did have some issues with the lighting; the LED's that indicate the charge doesn't work at all which is annoying for a brand new mouse. The batteries it came with had also gone bad so I had to replace those. All annoyances, but does not take away from the practical function of the device.

The side buttons are a little disappointing. They don't have much depth to them and are a much more shallow experiencing than I had hoped for. They are also very close together which makes distinguishing them difficult. Works fine for not time constricted tasks, but I don't see myself using them much for gaming.

Be very careful when updating the firmware. The directions it gives you to do so are incorrect, and I had to restart it several times before figuring out what the issue was. I have also been reading reports of people accidentally bricking the device when trying to update, so be extremely careful and don't reboot until AFTER the update has been completed, not before like it tells you to.

Other Thoughts:
For the price, you really can't beat it. This fits a nitch glaringly lacking within the mouse world. and I've overall happy with the purchase. I just wish it had a few more features.
