My cat loves this toy better than all others. I like that kitty cannot chew the tail off (like other toy mice) because it is made of a thick hair-covered leather. This is well made product. It is light weight so kitty can flip it in the air with his front paws. It is small enough so that kitty can carry it around in his mouth but not so small that kitty can swallow it. It is sturdy enough for kitty to chew and pound his back claws against without damaging it. I can attach it to the wand/string and make it fly in circles above kittys head as if it were a bird in flight. Kitty loves this and jumps 2-3 feet high to catch it. I purchased more than one of these because he hides them. I may not find it for days and I never want to be without kittys favorite toy. Highly recommend!

we have 4 rescue cats and they all went through a lot before finding us and thus a permanent home. we care very much about what they eat and play with so shopping for toys is a constant disappointment of crappy stuff made in china out of sub-par (&potentially toxic materials) that are all easily broken, or primarily made from plastic (?!) or both. i was so happy to find this seller here, making quality toys out of materials cats love. if i could rate them 10 stars, i would. cats are beyond happy and so am i. money well spent! will for sure purchase more items.

There's a picture right next to a ruler and for some reason I still expected this to be bigger... It's really small.

It's not a big deal anyway, my cat LOVES it. I'm not sure if he loves this toy in particular or he just loves pole toys in general. I'm using this as a replacement for daBird and it drives him crazy as usual.

Recommended.

UPDATE:

After two months or so, my cat completely DESTROYED this toy. It's too expensive for its durability. My cat really loved it, but it simply can't be fixed since my cat broke the part where it's attatched to the pole, and the body is made of fur so you can't really sew it. Sad day.

Holy Cats! Way higher quality than the GoCat replacements!

The GoCat branded replacements fall apart very quickly - if you look at the core, its a PTFE liner wrapped in string, with the hair stuck to it. Our original one fell apart within a few days of usage and I had to pull the chunk out of my cats mouth.

But these? Tough as nails! Our Maine Coon is 15 pounds of teeth and claws and he *loves* these to the point that he will complain and cry next to his toy box until we bring them out for him to play with.

The cores are *much* stronger - the noose at the front is strong enough to resist him grabbing and pulling on it with his entire body weight. I am beyond impressed with these - A+ Job to CoolCyberCats!

Really liked these, and my cat LOVES them, but.... they don't hold up. My cat's favorite one is the one with the white tail, which seemed to be a strip of furry hide. On the one I received, the tail had hardened into a curl, and after a few days of play (really, no more than a week), the tail fell off and soon after, the rest of the mouse fell apart. Seems that the tail is what keeps the whole body together, because when the tail fell of one of the other ones, the body disintegrated soon after.

I like that the material isn't toxic to my pet and all, but even with judicious use (e.g., I didn't allow my cat to have access to it when I wasn't home, and generally he plays with it gently - mostly batting it around and picking it up and carrying it (and the handle) around in his mouth)). I wouldn't say he was rough on this toy, so for the money, I'm disappointed that it didn't last longer. Also disappointed because my cat likes the larger replacement mouse better than the original go-go-cat mouse. Ho hum. There's no winning - I think I'll have to buy these again, but just fair warning to you - they don't last.

UPDATE - 6/30/2017 - I've bought the CoolCyberCats Buffalo Fur pack of these refills and they hold up MUCH better - so I recommend those!
