It keeps some food warm. It even cooks frozen meals pretty well. Why not five stars? Well, it burns at the bottom whenever I used it to keep rice warm. I don't know if it's the rice thing or if it's just me. I always plugged it as soon as I got to work, and had my lunch at work four hours later. Well, the ad says I could leave it plugged in for a long time. I guess it doesn't really apply to some food, like bread or sandwiches. But, it's still an awesome product. I definitely recommend this "portable oven" you everyone.

For every work day, I intended to bring marinated/prepped raw food in to the office, put it in this oven in the morning, and by lunch time, have fresh food ready to eat. After testing the unit out at my house, I concluded that I would have to add one more step: sear/brown any meat before putting it in this oven. Otherwise, this unit is fantastic and is worth every penny. Note: The manufacturer offers a 2-year extension to the 1-year warranty if you register your oven. So don't forget to register it!

--The Test--
I put in frozen rice and refrigerator-thawed raw chicken in the oven. After three hours, the food reached edible temperatures. The chicken looked pretty awful when it came out... so I seared it a bit on a cast iron pan.

--The Data--
Temperatures were measured using an infrared thermometer and a meat thermometer. Over three hours, the oven brought up the rice temperature from -5F to 132F and the chicken from 35F to 153F. The countertop temperature under the unit was 129F (+55F). The heating plate gets up to almost 200F; likewise, the bottom of the glass tupperware that was on top of this plate reached 162F. As far as the electricy used, the unit alternates from 0W to just under 50W. Over three hours, only 0.11 kWh was used, which translates to a dollar figure of less than a penny (using my electric prices).

i love this little oven, its really changed my existence ,, since i work afternoons i miss dinner and alot of times lunch this allows me to have a hot meal everyday if i like, it works so well my co worker bought one and loves it too, and another co workers wants to buy one for herself as well,,cold sandwiches daily are a thing of the past.. i know it sounds dramatic but this little oven really changed my life .. having a hot meal made me feel so much better at work and about work. i cant say enough good things about it..

I absolutely love this thing! If your one that gets tired of having to microwave your food everyday,due to work,this will be perfect for you!! I plug it in hour and half before my break and when it's time,it comes out nice and hot,not dried up and flavorless like the microwave does to your food. Now when I make a healthy dinner I know I'm getting all the nutrients. Not like the microwave were it zaps all your nutrients and your basically eating empty calories! I totally recommend this. I love it.

This is amazing !! NO MORE MICROWAVE !! no more standing on line at work to heat up food in a dirty microwave.
Using it a few weeks already and am very happy. Place my lunch into it when I arrive to work and it heats up my lunch without cooking it more, its ready for me to eat (HOT) at anytime I want to eat.
Sturdy and lightweight (keep on my desk at work). RECOMMENDED to all my co-workers, so far very very happy.
Did not use the pyrex recommended that fits perfectly in the HOTLOGIC, because I found I could use my smaller round pyrex containers I already had and they work GREAT. The rectangular pyrex recommended is too big for my lunch portion.
