Based on some reviews I had high hopes that this pump would solve my foundation storage needs. Unfortunately, after a month of use the pump stopped moving up with the product and it had to be turned over to pump any foundation out. The air made the contents spray/spritz out haphazardly. After making a complete mess after each use I decided to just unscrew the lid to get the foundation out. This worked until the plastic cracked and I was no longer able to screw the lid back on. Save your money towards a better quality product to meet your needs. This isn't it.

This product was a complete waste of money. I ordered some pump bottles before that looked just like this one and I loved them, but this is not the same product. The bottoms do not come off of these, only the top part. It's easy to put thick jarred moisturizers in the other one, but this pump you cannot. I put my new foundation in this one and had a very difficult time getting it to pump. Finally, I was able to get product out after about 75 pumps. I used it one time and noticed cracks running down both sides of the bottle. I took the top off to examine the pump and immediately the top part fell off in my hand. IT BROKE OFF IN MY HAND INTO SEVERAL SMALL, SHARP PIECES! Tiny sharp pieces of the bottle even fell into the brand new foundation that I had previously put in this pump bottle. Not only did I waste money on this bottle, but my new bottle of foundation is ruined. I have learned my lesson and will just spend a little extra money on a more expensive pump top instead of a more affordable yet extremely cheaply made one.

The pump works by the bottom of the bottle rising to bring the product closer to the top of the inside of the pump. It adjusts to how much air needs to be in the bottle for it to be able to use suction to draw the liquid up, so it can then squirt out. So you don't need to add a lot once it adjusts. They work well and look very high end. The bottle isn't glass, more like just a hard plastic, but everything feels sturdy and like it will hold up. Everything fits and nothing was damaged or loose.

This is a staple in my every day make up routine I absolutely love it. Thinking about buying more for primers and Christmas gifts.

started out promisingly, because it was clean & easy to pour my foundation in the container and screw on the lid. however, on day 2 the pump stopped pumping out any product, and on day 3 i opened my cosmetics bag to find the entire plastic casing had broken in half, leaving foundation everywhere. so not cool. i bought 2, so maybe this one is a defect, but now i have to repurchase my foundation(!) in order to try again.
