For every work day, I intended to bring marinated/prepped raw food in to the office, put it in this oven in the morning, and by lunch time, have fresh food ready to eat. After testing the unit out at my house, I concluded that I would have to add one more step: sear/brown any meat before putting it in this oven. Otherwise, this unit is fantastic and is worth every penny. Note: The manufacturer offers a 2-year extension to the 1-year warranty if you register your oven. So don't forget to register it!

--The Test--
I put in frozen rice and refrigerator-thawed raw chicken in the oven. After three hours, the food reached edible temperatures. The chicken looked pretty awful when it came out... so I seared it a bit on a cast iron pan.

--The Data--
Temperatures were measured using an infrared thermometer and a meat thermometer. Over three hours, the oven brought up the rice temperature from -5F to 132F and the chicken from 35F to 153F. The countertop temperature under the unit was 129F (+55F). The heating plate gets up to almost 200F; likewise, the bottom of the glass tupperware that was on top of this plate reached 162F. As far as the electricy used, the unit alternates from 0W to just under 50W. Over three hours, only 0.11 kWh was used, which translates to a dollar figure of less than a penny (using my electric prices).

There are days during the week I am away from the house from 10am - 10 pm. On busy days, I don't mind grabbing a meal on the road but pushing two meals out in one day is getting to be too much!
I start with lunch in the mini hot logic and when done, I drop my dinner in. The result is that I get better meals, since I prepared them myself and the ease of heating meals is outstanding.
In fact, I have made my own frozen dinners to use in the mini hot logic... pot roast, potatoes and carrots, chicken noodle soup, a burrito bowl, etc. I even grill a few extra hamburger patties when I make dinner. Pop them in, just before eating put some cheese on it and you have burgers on the road! Leftovers are fabulous- pizza slices wrapped in foil, hot dogs (in the bun) wrapped in foil, etc.
I have referred quite a few families to the hot mini logic, each one of them is as thrilled with it as I am!
If you have a non-traditional schedule that forces you into meals on the road with no access to a microwave, this product is for you. Don't live with cold meals!

My work is gross. Like really gross. I work for a trash company gross. We have a roach problem in the kitchen gross.

I simply bring this puppy in with my leftovers inside (any flat bottomed container works but I use the 3 cup pyrex ones everyday) and plug it in.
I bring one dish for lunch and something foil wrapped for breakfast. i.e. burrito.
I slap the burrito in and eat that in 2 hours when I start to get hungry after my coffee, toss the tin foil away and slap my leftovers in it, eat that in about 2-3 hours (as this never overheats my food) and then just unplug it and eat! I take the whole thing home when I'm done so no bugs get in it too.

Pros: I can keep my food out of the actual kitchen that is disgusting, it's on my desk that I clean religiously every day. It's hot when I want it and doesn't get that microwaved effect and it's completely and evenly warm! (Sooo happy I don't have to use our microwave that is also rusty on the inside, who knows what that does?!)

Cons: None so far - this thing works like a charm!

Definitely get this if you drive a long time or work somewhere without easy access to a kitchen...or in my case a CLEAN kitchen!

This is amazing. I saw this when I was looking for something to heat up my food while I'm in my critical care classes in a building with no microwave. I saw all the reviews and decided to try it out. It came super fast and I used it and it was the best! My food was very hot like I just cooked it and it stayed hot while I ate. My classesmates thing it's adorable. I absolutely love this!

I really like this little hot oven!! I prep some of my meals during the week and this little thing keeps food hot and ready to eat within 60 to 90 minutes depends on how cold your food is!! I love it that is portable and you can actually take it with you on the road. I really love that it does not dry out your food like some microwaves do, especially chicken!! I use it at home and when i travel. Its pretty versatile, from college students who are limited to cooking equipment at dorms, to a trucker who wants to eat while the road, people who travel for business and don't want to eat outside, people who want to keep on track with there diet & even seniors who just don't want to use appliances to heat up there foods. The beauty of this little oven, your food wont burn and basically can heat any flat topper ware or Pyrex containers. I prefer Pyrex containers but i have used plastic ones. I have a feeling i will be ordering another one once i show my mom this neat little oven!! A win win!!!
