I was very excited about this mattress. It was my first ever mattress purchase online. I do have a Sleep Innovations mattress that was given to me that i LOVED. This one is a little too firm and does not seem to have much memory foam. In the other one i have, it is also very firm, but when you lay down in it your body forms and cradles to the memory foam. This mattress does not do that all. I wish I could get a little softer one.

I will say I was very, very hesitant to order this, being my first venture into boxed mattresses and because of the great price I figured it must be too good to be true. I'm not in any position where I want to spend $800+ on a mattress, so eventually after many weeks of online research I bit the bullet on this one. I have been sleeping on it for about 3 weeks now and so far so good. It arrived on time via prime shipping in a very large sturdy box with punch-in hand holds so you can carry it (in my case was up a staircase) it was easier to manage with two people but as long as you aren't a particularly small person you should be able to push it from room to room without too much trouble. I live in a small apartment and the biggest challenge here was getting the wrapped up mattress out from the box because there wasn't enough room to tilt the box fully on its side. So in my predicament it needed to be a 2 person job. Once it was out it was easy to lay out on the box spring, cut open the packing and the mattress went to it's full size almost immediately. There was absolutely zero smell so no "airing out" period was needed.

I slept on it that night after letting it sit on its own for about 6-8 hours. Now after the first night I was a bit nervous as the mattress felt a bit too firm to me, and I was already using this mattress to replace a very old and very firm mattress. But I had read some other reviews that stated it may take a week or so to "wear in" the mattress so I kept with it and it now very comfortable. I wouldn't say this mattress is soft by any means still but as a regular side sleeper there is enough sink that I don't wake up in the morning with pain in my hips and shoulders which is what my problem was with my previous mattress. Just hoping now it lasts me a good amount of time before buying another!

After researching numerous memory foam mattress online and in the stores. We settled on the Sleep Innovations Taylor mattress. Reading several positive reviews made the choice easy. The mattress came rolled up in a box (about 100 lbs). It was really easy to set up, just put tell rolled up foam mattress on the bed frame and tear the plastic as the mattress unfolds. It took several hours to unfold and settle to fluff up. We slept on it that night. We did not notice any chemical smells that I read some people complained about. Overall a great mattress, and after 13 years we were due for a good night's sleep.

I was having terrible discomfort in my lower back and I suspected it was my bed. I even pursued acupuncture for relief, which helped, but I knew it was my bed. So, after reading many reviews and checking out Sleep Innovations web site and further customer reviews and their recommendations, I decided to order a medium-firm queen mattress. IT HAS BEEN A MIRACLE! I have had the mattress for a little over six months now. If you sleep alone, remember to sleep on both sides of the bed so one side doesn't get broken in before the other. The cooling top is a great feature. I would definitely recommend this bed to anyone. The medium-firm choice was a good one for me. I tend to like a more firm mattress (not hard just firm). This one is perfect, with a little give.

I agree with reviewers that say this is a firm bed. I thought I wouldn't like a firm mattress but there are a few good things I like. The gel top doesn't get hot and it is dense but molds to the shape of your body. If you move your lower leg back and forth, you will feel the shape in the gel top. It slowly molds to your entire body. I've found I move less, and I generally move a lot because of spine, hip and shoulder issues. It seems this mattress will last better than my $2000 mattress i used to have. I will be back to either add a star or remove a star. Only time will tell which it will be. I'm a regular guy with no ties to this company nor amazon except as a buyer. The bed i purchased is a queen size. Hope this helps.
