Good overall. As others have stated
Ben•October 15, 2017
Good overall. As others have stated, the stopping action is not firm but allows the door to flex and sort of rebound slowly.
My installation was to prevent a small bathroom's door from hitting the toilet if it opened too far, and this has worked for the application.
The pin should be shorter than this for any residential sized hinge and it does stick out the bottom some, but it's hardly noticeable. I would also strongly prefer to have more levels of adjustment. When you unscrew the top and remove the upper stop half there aren't that many splines on the shaft so adjustments are vague.

Awesome - no more damage: But be careful of your hinge type

We bought these for our place and they work great. No more damage to the door or door trim (like with the typical door stops on the hinges).
One word of caution though: Some of the newer door hinges do not extend past the door or door trim. If you cannot see the hing plate when the door is closed, do not buy these as they will damage your doors and trim. We bought some of these for some friends, and found out the hard way.

perfect for kerfed doors
Nice slim profile.

Like this due to the lower profile of it. It might not work great if someone closes the door with force but overall I likenit.
Good alternative for light weight door.

Working well for my bathroom door. It did get jammed in the wood when it stopped the door from opening but that is not a problem because it did not cause notable damage to the wood jam or paint job, just put a dent in the wood. I think it is a good solution for me.
