Have to admit, I was unaware these existed. I can see where it's a must for first responders and the like. That said, it's just a darn clever idea for those times you need to keep a door open. It always seems to me, the fire door from garage to house, is several inches off the floor. I find myself stacking shims, or using some heavy clunky whatever, which I eventually trip over......I hate that!

Well, this door jamb device was the answer. What's most intriguing, there are multiple positions with which to place these and all of them work. If it's not cutting it width-wise (think thinner door), you just put this over the hinge, or on top where it won't fall. There's multiple solutions and gone is the need to stack shims or move some heavy object to keep doors open.

If you're a contractor, holding doors open is daily occurrence and oh what fun when the customer forgot to turn the button to unlock the door for you.......and left, with your phone inside and it's raining, during a Cat-3 hurricane, then it starts snowing, furiously.....sorry.

In my case, this is just the kinda do-dad that I'll leave behind somewhere, especially if it's out of site (these guys are small). However, the main reason I ordered these is twofold. First, half the units are colored (orange and green), the rest are black. There's also strap with a carabiner clip, which threads through the built in hole and 3 straps are bright lime green. This was a HUGE selling point, the brighter the better, so it stays in sight longer. The second reason for the order, they have a case to carry it all in, think tactical bag with buttoned straps and loops, etc. I have but one suggestion, make them all bright colors, including the carabiner straps. I imagine that after a long day, you're spent and if you're a responder, the door jamb is the last thing you're thinking about.

So I'm declaring this a well deserved 5 star. The product's substantial and they packaged these with emergency responders in mind, right down the the tactical case. Yes, simple design, as most great products usually are. You get a lot of door jambs, which makes this a top flight choice. I'm sure you can't go wrong with this product. I'll sign off with this question; When is a door, not a door............when it's ajar!

I use these to prop doors on medical and fire calls. These are much easier to keep up with that traditional wedges. They also stay in place better. The included paracord makes them easy to clip on bags for carry. Great quality. They are very sturdy but have some flex to them.

Moving to a new place means doors need to stay open - this solves that problem. Also great for doors that aren't quite level and constantly slowly close. This is pretty slick and doesn't damage the door, from what I can see. Rating - 4.

I ordered these door stops because I think these definitely play a role in emergency situations faced in certain scenarios. If you have ever encountered being on the other side of a locked door that someone you know needs, but you cannot reach them from a door that locked behind them"¦then this is a tool that might help prevent that situation.

As a first responder, you never know what type of structure you may enter. If it is a large one, it is very typical for doors you enter to lock behind you. Placing one of these, allows for the ability of retreating backwards for possible safety. Or perhaps the first emergency first responder is met by on-site keyholders who get you access through locked doors but continue to advance with you. Placing one of these allows following emergency first responders to get where they are needed much quicker than having to wait for a keyholder or spending precious time and effort forcing entry.

Anyway, these are very useful tool. I can see using in many circumstances. I think the overall construction is very durable and do not see them breaking or tearing or failing as a result of force being applied by a shutting door. If bent, they retain their shape and are instantly ready to be used again.

The size are very convenient which makes them portable in a pocket, pouch, molle, or just clipped using the provided string and clip. The molle pouch provided is a molle pouch. It's average, but most average molle pouches are quite tough and useful, so it's useable. I will keep the pouch, but will likely use it for another medical pouch.

I doubt I will be able to carry all 6 on my person, but I could probably carry 2 without a problem. Although I do like the colors, I can not wear the bright colors on my uniform, so only the black ones would be able to placed on my uniform on the molle, but have not attempted. I will likely just place in a cargo pocket with the remaining ones in my go bag.

I used these on all my doors in my residence, and had no problems. Depending on the orientation of the door (inward/outward swinging), I noticed that the stopper had to be situated in a certain orientation, or it would be knocked off and therefor not failing to stop the door from shutting. So just something to be aware of and pretty sure that will be important for any door.

They work great! The little clip is plastic. Nice shape and size, but it is plastic. I already broke one of the clips. My fault, trying to force it for an attachment, but still I wish they were steel. Then I would say this would be 5 stars. Rating 4 because if I clip mounted/attached and too much force is applied, then it will break and you chance losing a critical piece of gear. Maybe of no concern for some, but the plastic is a no go for my applications.

These are inexpensive but there is a lot of value here. I highly recommend if ingress/egress options are a critical factor for your ability to render service.
