Looking for licorice that is gluten free. Ordered these. The taste and texture is similar to the Black Crow candies that 'stick to your teeth' as you're chewing them. The flavor is very 'licorice' but not the chewy licorice stick style I was hoping for.

This is probably our favorite licorice candy. It is not salty in the least and very rich in flavor. Each little Scottie is a pretty good portion of the licorice, so no need for a fistful. Also, the licorice is soft and tender: you won't lose any fillings in this stuff! Black Tie's box is a good way to store them, But I miss having them in the original bag.

I bought these for my brother-in-law and he loved them. I was curious about them, so I bought some myself. They are flavorful, on the soft side and good quality. They come inside the black and white cardboard box wrapped tightly in plastic so they are fresh. The Scotty dog design is on one side, and the other side is flat. This is a good gift to give that elderly person who is hard to shop for, or anyone who loves black licorice.

I personally don't like black licorice but my wife loves them. She found these and wanted to try them out since she read a lot of good reviews about them. She was not disappointed and loves these. I tried a bite and it definitely has a very spiced flavor to it that black licorice lovers will like.

Great product, well-packaged. Cute little box with two plastic bags inside to separate the contents (1lb each). Even my wife who does not like licorice thinks these may be the best she's tried and she ate what she took completely.
