This is the only coffee I drink black. It is just so good! It isn't bitter in a bad way. When I use other coffees in my reusable Keurig cups, fine residue tends to get through. But the grind of this coffee is perfect for it. One important thing to note is that even though it is made by Death Wish Coffee, it does not have the same level of caffeine as its more popular brother.

Besides the amazing name that speaks volumes about how amazing the coffee potentially is, the aroma promises a tantalizing experience. I've tried my fair share of coffee over the years. Quite difficult finding something that balances the caffeine content, with flavor and lasting effects. I've had coffee that after drinking 4 cups would only last partially through my workday and usually gave me an upset stomach; including zoning out and partially falling asleep. I have to admit, the flavor is bold, but enjoyable, for me it takes a while before it kicks in, however I've noticed that I don't become as nauseated and when I begin to become tired it's no where near zoning out/dozing off but instead the realization that I could either proceed through tasks or simple take a nap. Personally, this coffee is definitely quality.

I will say just with one cup, I was motivated this morning :-) I brewed in my kerig reusable kcup. The taste I was expecting to be bitter or acidic due to the darkness of the grind, however it was not overwhelming at it. The coffee was pleasing to the palate. One cup didn't give me any jitters or rapid heart rate, I just felt awake and alive, ready to get on the move. I would buy this product again for certain. Thank you Death Wish Coffee!

I think I've had enough of it today. 1 cup of this coffee does the work of like 4 or 5 cups of average coffee, and it doesn't taste like used motor oil. I tried a different High Caf coffee before it, and it literally smelled and taste like burnt motor oil. This one tasted and smelled like regular coffee, but the Caf kick was a nice surprise.

I have to say that this is truly a very good coffee in fact I would give Valhalla Java itself 5 stars but I gave it 4 because the price of this coffee is quite high for a daily consumable at $1.33 an ounce well let's just say I don't buy $200 a bottle champagne either. If you don't mind the price it is a truly not bitter at all great cup of Java.
