4TB runs great on PlayStation 4 , using as a secondary storage for games etc...and so far it's been quiet and performing great freed up the PlayStation 4 hard drive, been using for almost a month now with no issues , have seen other reviews saying the usb wears out and breaks easily but really can't say anything about that because it just sits next to the ps4 always connected. You do have to connect it to a pc first and format it before plugging it in to the ps4 but that's not really a big deal. It's small and doesn't require a lot of space, when im playing a game the light will flash letting me know its saving game data or receiving game updates . I'm happy with it so far , nice not having to delete games to make room for new ones all the time !

Stay away from these drives.

I have had two of these drives. A 500 gig in a 1 TB and both of them have failed. USB port on the 500 gig failed after six months of using it. And the hard drive failed on the 1 terabyte drive after three months of using it.

Absolutely awful.

6 months after purchase I casually plugged the in the USB and the outlet snapped off and fell inside the drive. I can shake it and hear it rattling around, but where the outlet used to be is an empty hole.

I assumed I could open it up and snap it back in place, but the only thing holding the outlet in place are two extremely tiny wires that snapped!
TWO TINY WIRES ARE WHAT KEEP YOUR $100 ITEM FUNCTIONING.
Behind the outlet is empty space so if ANYONE pushes it in slightly too hard it will snap the two wires.
I lost $100 and hours of work on something I used 3 times before it broke with no especially rough use.
(And I need another drive for next semester!)

It was broken in two months !

Hi there, I bought the G-DRIVE mobile USB Portable USB on 29Th Sep. and I started to use it on 15Th Oct. I didn't use so much, only for storage photos of some clients. It worked only two months and now is not working, the connection inside is broken. I lose all my pictures !
I will appreciate any suggestions of what I can do. Thanks !
