Product works

I have a ¼ acre property I believe and ran this wire around my back yard for my dogs. Its on a welded wire fence so the fence acts as a ground wire also. I have tested this product myself twice now(unintentionally) and It works. It definitely gives a good wack and my dogs(german shepherds and Northern breed mixes) no longer mess with the fence.
Kept dogs off the fence

Can't believe we didn't do this earlier. Our dogs think it's a fun game to shred the fence trying to get to the dogs on the other side. Once this was installed, it only took 2 tries for them to learn.
For horses?

When this product came, it shows small animals such as dog and bunny so I was worried it would be too weak. We have a small pasture (500ft) for two performance horses but I didn't want a huge shock. I had tried a More powerful box and it was wayyy too much. I have three 8ft grounding rods in to 6ft from the other one so I just hooked this box up to that set up. It's putting out 6000v and I think that's more than adequate. I am keeping it in a Tupperware next to the fence and so far so good.
Prevents kills of small animals while still keeping the unwanted animals out.

This unit works much better than the low-power 800 volt Havahart that has a constant voltage level. The Zareba surge design prevents kills of small animals while still keeping the unwanted animals out.
My only issue with the unit is the lack of a power-on indicator light. Since it is intended to shock animals and people fit that category, it would be nice to know that it is working without having to use a tester. Since it is a surge energizer and not a constant voltage energizer, a regular voltage meter cannot adequately be used to determine the level of surge voltage the unit it putting out. My electronic VOM just makes a clicking noise when I hook it to the hot and ground leads.

Charger only for smaller animals

I have only had this charger for a couple of weeks. This charger is for small creatures (rabbits, dogs, chickens) and doesn't carry enough current for larger animals and I knew that in advance of buying it. To date it appears be keeping rabbits and chickens and maybe groundhogs out my Vegetables. If I had a deer problem I would have to use a much larger fence charger. For the money I paid for this charger it appears to be doing the job it was intended
