Perfect fit for older sink

I purchased this to replace an old garbage disposal fitting that was off of a disposal from the 1980's but still worked great. However, the old disposals were so much narrower at the neck and those "universal replacements" you see at home depot or lowes simply don't work in the older disposals. I read the reviews and did the research and found out that this was the one to get, and lo-and-behold it was a perfect fit for both the older sink and disposal unit.

This thing WORKS! For an archaic old Sears Roebuck Garbage disposal, I am surprised I could find a stopper anywhere! Not only that, but it comes with the under side guard! They do work together to create the seal. Don't try just using the top stopper because it will not seal. The under guard does fit nice & tight so when you put in the stopper it creates a very good seal. WELL DONE!
