These are my new favorite pair of hiking/cargo shorts. Very well-made, rugged but comfortable, and they hit just above the knees.
My only minor gripe is that pockets could be a bit deeper to accommodate the larger cell phones like the Note 4. Other than that, they are just right.

Very pleased! My husband really likes the Bimini Bay shorts and other clothing, great fit and great quality. We usually buy them at a souvenir store when on vacation in Orange Beach, Alabama. This year the store said they had Bimini Bay shirts, but no shorts. So we ordered them on Amazon through Bimini Bay Outfitters the week after vacation. I like them BUT, on recievin em, I had to snip the waist buttonhole slightly LARGER --- JUST, to be ABLE to UNbutton it! :O must have been sewn WITH the button buttoned ;)

Fit is OK but construction quality is poor. Mine is made in Bangladesh. The fly flap is misaligned causing it not to lie flat to cover the zipper. The bottom of front pocket rips open after one wash due to missed stitching. The front pocket with velcro flap is too shallow to fit an iPhone 6+ with 5.5 inch screen.

I now have two pair of these shorts. I really like them. As others have noted, if you are not tall many longer shorts look stupid. (Actually I think they look stupid on just about everyone)! These are just the right length. The material is stone washed which gives them a broken in feel. I am a 34" waist and they fit perfectly. The elastic at the waist band adds some give if you had too many grilled burgers at the cook out. I probably could do without the velcro on the back pockets but it does add nice security for you wallet. The lower front pockets also have velcro and can easily hold most cellphones. I may have to have a third pair.
Update Reduced by one star: I did order a third pair in gray. The first two pair were made in Bangladesh and were fine. The third pair was made in China and is at least one size smaller in the waist and the insides of the main pockets is very poorly finished. I had to cut out loose threads etc.
Evidently the quality of these shorts is very much related to where they are made.
