It made the flying poop-rats stay away.

The filthy pigeons were rooting above my office and would poop on and tour the roof gutter all day long. The plastic owl was a laughing stock. The hawk sound effects I'd blast from the window just made them hyper. But this tape works! I cut just 6 one-foot pieces and pineed them to the aluminum gutter where they like to congregate. Now they won't land there. There are occasional flashing sparks that blind me but the filthy flying poop-rats are gone.
It does what it says it will do

I wasnt sure what I would think of this product because there were so many mixed reviews out there. So I will say this first and for most is that it works. It does infact deter the birds. It has been up for 3 weeks and not problems. THe down side side is that the reflecting tape is not an adhisive ribbon. So the flutter is what is designed to scare the birds away. So I had to tape mine down, not a big problem just not what I was exspecting. Lastly the ribbon is technically 2" wide but there is a strip about an 1/8th of an inch of secondary ribbon. I can only assume that this is if you want a thin piece of ribbon to flutter. It works so who can really complain there are improvemetns I would like to see in my future ribbon deterent purchases.
Woodpecker Repellent

I bought this scare ribbon in hopes of deterring a hostile woodpecker from doing further wood damage to the cedar on my home. I have tried everything legal to no avail. I'm hopeful this silvery ribbon as well as a 40" metallic wind sock with lots of streamers will be beneficial in scaring him away. I will place the ribbon down the length of the board he's been aggressively working over as well as hanging the silver wind sock above the same area. I remain hopeful this will be the answer. The scare ribbon appears to be of good quality and gives off a nice reflective shine.
So after seeking out my best options and not have to resort to violence
Lauren Smith•December 25, 2016
A flock of uninvited pigeons invaded my neighborhood. Somehow they decided to perch on my roof and left a mess below on my driveway and my car. So after seeking out my best options and not have to resort to violence, I decided to give this tape a try. I Cut lengths of 5 feet long and thread it with fishing lines and clip it to the soffit on a sunny day. As the breeze sway the tape and flip it any which way it throws off a kaleidoscope of dancing lights reflecting off the sun and then something amazing happened. The pigeons circle and circle over my roof but never dare to land again. I am shock at how well this tape works. The only problem with the tape was that it was very thin and very brittle. Constantly ravaging of the wind and rain pounding it into the siding has shredded it in pieces in just a few short days. I made a few more lengths since and reinforced the edge with clear scotch tape and hope that would prevent it from damaging from hitting the siding.
Overall, very impressed with how well it worked.
