Water splashes everywhere and very loud motor.
I expected more precision in the fit of the moving parts of the grinder; it took a while to fix it so the parts cleared.

The parts are poorly fit. It took 2 afternoons to finally get the parts to fit on the motor drive shaft so that they didn't contact the underlying plastic water tub or the side of the upper surface grid. I finally got it to clear the upper surface only by installing it in reverse, so the logo on the front of the grinder is now on the back of the grinder when I use it. I haven't tried using the wheel grinder yet.

very useful in fusing glass. I wish I had bought the deluxe model as I now realize that I need the other pieces that come part of the deluxe model. Instructions for setting up are clear and easy.

This grinder is powerful, but noisier than I expected. If you don't mind a louder model grinder that is a true workhorse, this is your grinder. I bought things grinder for sheet glass, stone and smalti pieces that I use in mosaics. This is a heavy duty grinder that can handle fine work as well as do the tough grinding jobs I require of it.
