Dogs are not excited about the flavor, but then, of course they loved the junk food i was giving them before. Unlike most people, I don't freak out when my dogs don't eat right away. They will eventually eat it if they are hungry. Just let them get used to the flavor. Kids love Mac and Cheese, but won't touch their brocolli or spinach. Thats how I take it.

After a few weeks on this kibble my boy broke out with a food allergy. I have used several of the other Victor formulas so I was astonished to see that my boy actually dropped in weight size with this bag. I wouldn't personally buy this formula again but if they carry the Victor Ultra Formula then I would purchase that instead. My bully was able to main a nice coat on this formula so I will switch him back to what I know.

I believe this product is much better for my dog then Purina. I wish my dog would eat it without canned food, but I got her from a shelter and she is used to can, so I mix a little victor can food with the dry. Only reason four stars is I was hoping it would tasted good enough for our dog to eat without can food mixed in. Using this more expensive food, because of all the things that I have read about grain and unhealthy big name brand foods.

The price of the 5 lb bag was $7 less than Chewys! The larger sizes are much more expensive than Chewys thouh. This is kind of strange. Our 1 1/2 year old Doxie has been on it since she has been weened and likes it very much. My advice to anybody is buy a good brand of food and if your dog likes it stick with it forever! We mix in some meat for her at dinner time too. Obviously if your dog has some problems like diarrhea or very soft stools you might have to try another brand but you can buy this with confidence that this is a good product.
