I've been using the same style pitcher for the last decade or so (replaced over time, but always with the same model). I have never experienced any problems before, but this time I bought the 'Grand' model in red. The lid sat well in the filter reservoir, but that reservoir sat poorly in the pitcher itself and when pouring water from it, the reservoir would jolt loose. Aside from that, the filter itself didn't make a tight fit seal in the reservoir which allowed water to leak around the filter, defeating the purpose of having a filtered pitcher.

I contacted Brita directly and asked if this was a common occurrence with the delta/red pitcher. I was assured it was not a common issue and they shipped me out a replacement.

This replacement did the same exact thing. Very disappointed and this has been ongoing for over two weeks now and all I want is a cold pitcher of filtered water.

DO NOT BUY THE RED GRAND BRITA.

I love these pitchers, and they last for years, but eventually a part breaks because I not only drop it, then I manage to step on it while looking for the piece. So, the most recent replacement pitcher I bought is the Large 10 cup Grand in red, with the fancy double timer on top. I was very happy, until about three months later when the timer croaked, by itself, I didn't break it. Well, I called Brita, ready to ream them out. I said, really mad, "This thing is only three months old, and the timer croaked!"; and as I paused for breath to continue my tirade the agent said, "I'm so sorry, we'll send you a new one". Oh. Okay. Imagine my surprise, actual pleasant customer service. Then, when I was expecting the little timer piece, an entire new pitcher arrived. Yup, Brita said that's what they meant to send. The box included a nice letter of apology, and asked me to give them another chance. You bet I will! I have a supply of the old filters, and I'll use them up before I start using the new longer lasting filters I bought, but I love that the pitchers work with either filter. Go, Brita!!!

The pitcher looks cool, and I like the "bubble" design. However, Brita either did not test it out, and/or intentionally cheapened it. The lid that comes with this pitcher is quite flimsy, and sits loosely on the reservoir on top. If you tilt the pitcher to pour water, the lid can very easily slide off wherever you're pouring. It is also very hard to to pour if there is any water in the reservoir on top because the water will flow out the top and throw the lid off.

You have to use your thumb when holding the pitcher to hold the lid down, and then you can pour without the thing flying off.

An older Brita pitcher that we have has a much thicker lid that snugly fits on the top. It does not require you to hold it down, even if there is water being filtered in the reservoir. I wish this pitcher had the same lid design and wasn't so cheap.

Had 2 britta slim. Have a britta at work. After getting tired of filter's not staying in half the time, and the one at work leaking when full... Rolled the dice on this one.

Stories about the plastic pour thingy coming off and battery not being replaceable didn't sway me. I don't need an indicator, and I've been without a plastic pour cover...

Water doesn't hit the filter when pouring it, prolonging filter life? There's an offset hole in the back that water won't come out of (unless you really overfill it and try to spill). There's a little flap on the front which prevents dust or anything from just falling into the filtered water. (Read articles on how much plastic micro fibers we consume a year)

No problems. Love the design! I don't pour water all over the place anymore from a full pre-filter reservoir! Oh, and the plastic thingy has popped off twice when pulling it out of the fridge. It basically rests over a bar and can bounce off. I just put it back on. It's been about 2 months, but love it above all other designs.

Makes my strong tap water drinkable. I'm very picky about water taste. It fills the first 3rd fairly quickly, and the rest of the way after a few minutes. I wish there were a guide to tell me how much to fill it for best results. If you try to pour before it finishes filtering water will spill out of the top. I also don't think my filter light tracker is working but that's not an important feature. I love that it comes in so many colors!
