I could not be happier. My side door has two steps going toward the kitchen, the other direction goes to my basement and is carpeted. So i only needed to address two steps. Local stores sold shades of brown or (pricey) oriental prints. Comfy Stair Treads not only offered an array of colors to match my new gray carpeted stairway and unlike other internet items, i didn't have to buy 8 unnecessary treads. I babysit an elderly dog who once tried to take the stairs up from the door to fast, fell, ended up in the splits and he is 100 pounds so i could not lift him. It was traumatizing for us both. They fit perfectly, are comfy on bare feet, and stay in place (on my ceramic tile stairs) without any adhesive products. Me and my part time dog are VERY GRATEFUl for these stair treads, if i forget to put them down prior to his arrival - he waits on the landing for me to get them; so he is most appreciative. VERY AFFORDABLE, Worth twice as much as i paid, especially since the shipping was not only free, but super fas, i didn't have to order a dozen, and no complaints about the quality. My husband likes the look of them so much. He prefers i leave them out even when the dog is not visiting.

These stair treads are wonderful!! There is no adhesive, as they are rubber backed, so there is minimal movement of the trees over time. But even with my 3 dogs running up and down the stairs, they only require minor adjustments. And they vacuum up beautifully! They are everything they appear to be in the Amazon pics and description and then some. I looked at many brands of stair treads, and am soooooo glad I went with these. We bought these treads to help make our hardwood steps safer for our old and feeble dog. They looked good, stayed in place well, and really helped the old doggie get up and down the steps without slipping. The only problem is that after a year, the rubber backing has started to wear out and lose its grip. I found some double stick tape meant for securing area rugs to hardwood surfaces and that seems to work well.

We have black lacquer stairs and like the look. However, I managed to slip off the top stair and 'ride my bum' down the entire stairway. Did I mention that I was carrying a loaded wicker hamper, with my laptop and smartphone on top? They all went flying and I sustained some minor soreness. We have 13 stairs and the measurements of these treads matched well. To secure them (and I do strongly recommend they be secured) we got some double-sided carpet tape. This tape will easily pull off the black lacquer paint on the stairs. So, I used a strip of blue painter's tape on the steps, upon which I put the carpet tape. The stair treads were placed upon this and we were able to keep the treads from sliding. Every time I step on the stairs, I feel the cushioned comfort of these treads and appreciate the fact that we have them. They seem to be well-made, and I do wonder if they will endure the wear and tear of constant traffic. I left one star off the rating until we can determine their durability. Otherwise, we are happy with this purchase.

I really like my floor threads... they are comfortable to walk on and they don't move around when you step on them...
