I could not believe how easily this cut through 4/0 cable. it cut clean all the way through. I didn't get a real straight cut but that was just me.

Works perfect for 4/0 copper cable. That is the largest it will do, but for the price, it is a good buy. The cutter edge is sharp, the cuts are clean and though it takes a little effort to cut the large copper, it does it.

For the money, TEMCo TH0001 is not a bad buy. It's not something you'd want to use a lot because you had better be pretty strong if you're cutting 3/0 wire. It's a tough job. The cuts were clean once the cut was made.
To make cutting 2/0 & 3/0 easier, go to the hardware store and purchase 2 small PVC tubes in plumbing to put over the handles and extend them. Doing this gives you much more leverage and makes cutting 3/0 wire much easier.

I've used it up to 2/0 gauge welding cable and it's very easy to cut with this wire cutter. There isn't much else to it, it just works, so very happy with it.
