I ordered size bigger as everyone recommended in the reviews. Fit perfectly. Super warm boots, super light and super comfy. It's hard to get them tight. I wish they would do something similar to military boots with waxed laces and slide thru eyelets, so you can get them tight in one pull. Other than that, very happy with the purchase.

I have not been able to test, but I can tell they will be warm. They have tie to make tight and tie to keep snow out. Very comfortable. Only negative is toe area if large. So it looks like a large boot. I spent 2 hours reviewing boots for sledding and hiking, which is a tough combination as you want something warm, but with flexibility to be comfortable to hike. This would be more fitting for sledding, but would be ok for hiking. Warm was the most important for me.

Very warm boot.

I got them for my husband. He loves them and says they feel great. He put them on with regular socks and he was almost to the front of the boot. He said he thought they'd be a little tight with thick socks. We live in North Central Indiana and he'll use them for plowing are 1/4 mile lane with our tractor or ATV and some light outdoor work on our farm. He said he thinks they'll be great and won't need thick socks as the boot has excellent insulation. If you want to wear thicker socks or 2 pair you may want to go up in size. He wears an 11. He said they are very comfortable and said maybe as they break in you may get more room. For him they are perfect.

These boots are just plain fantastic. Incredibly comfortable, very supportive, very light for their size, and amazingly warm. The speed laces work well, and despite not needing it yet, the gaiter seems well made and will fit insulated pants in with no bunching. I really couldn't ask for anything more for the price, especially after the nightmare I had with the first pair of snow boots I tried... *ahem Sorel Conquests cough*
Baffin makes a quality product and won't hesitate to buy from them again.
