BUY IT if you're looking for the best compressor for a "handyman" home shop.

Holy cow I LOVE this compressor.
I wouldn't call it "quiet", but I would definitely call it quietER. I can have a conversation with this thing running....and I've never done that with another compressor in my life.
It fits easily under my counter which is awesome. The two air connectors is great to have. And this seems to be the best balance of pressure/flow/noise/ease-of-use of any compressor I've ever had.
Will run ANY air tool I have for home use- just may not be enough volume or flow rate for a production shop. BUT I would have no problem doing soda blasting or touchup sand blasting with this. I bet it will run 5 framing nailers at a time. For sure will run a couple roofing nailers, maybe even more.

Nice "Portable" Compressor

Received it a couple of days ago and swapped out an old Stanley/Bostitch pancake compressor. This one is much lighter and quieter than the old one. I'd built a mobile cabinet with a hose reel and shelf for the old unit and my air-tools and this one fit well within the same footprint. It was "walking" around a bit inside the cabinet so I blocked around it with scrap wood and problem solved. Most of the heat vents forward (on the gauge side) so that was a plus.
I do wish the condensate drain valve was in "front" (same side as the rest of the controls/gauges) for ease of access. IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A HACK to re-route the drain I'd love to know it.
I ran the unit for 20 minutes with the drain valve open to break in the pump/motor as prescribed by others. I didn't find this tip in the manual - may have just missed it. Ive owned a couple different compressors over the past 40 years and never knew about this.
I'll update this review if anything goes wrong, otherwise I'm very happy with it so far.

I bought this compressor because the the psi figures and the noise level numbers were seemingly good for what I had intended to use it for

What a peice of junk. I bought this compressor because the psi figures and the noise level numbers were seemingly good for what I had intended to use it for. ( interiors trim ) After two jobs it died. A piece broke off inside the tank which you cant get at and you cant buy a replacement tank.It was also far louder than what they claim . maybe mine was louder than others ..
Worked great til it stopped, both times

Lasted 4 months before it quit. I love the way it ran, but can't afford to have it not work. I used this 5 days a week on jobsite doing finish carpentry. It should have lasted much longer than 4 months.
After returning it to my local dewalt service center for warranty, I waited almost 3 months before receiving a new one because they couldn't fix the original.
After using the new one for 5 months it too has quit working properly. The motor stopped pumping when it would repump at about 160psi. It also will trip many gfci plugs on jobsites.

It "has "NOT" been working 100%, But I LOVE everything about it otherwise!

It leaks air around the air PSI Gauge, or behind it....I don't want to tamper with it, I need it!
It's not a bad leak, but its there. I probably won't ship it back cause its heavy & I live in Hawaii - shipping charges would be more hassle than its worth to be honest...
None the less, a great product is a great product!
5 Stars. I loved it before the leak & even now with the leak - It doesn't matter much at all.
Still functions for my usesjust fine & That's-that.
It's a ton! more quieter than anything else I've personally owned. (Especially at 4am in the morning.) The sound doesn't travel too far in my home to wake anyone up.
I use it to put air in tires as they get low, Basic tire maint. It takes less than a minute or two before I am letting the excess air out & done with it for the day. Therefore, The leaking bothers me not!
NOTE: Added a picture for reference where the leak is, At least where I think its coming from???
