Maybe the best oil finish I have used...

I'm just an old guy doing his hobby in his garage...a hobby started at the beginning of the pandemic. I make 3D looking end-grain cutting boards out of walnut, maple, and cherry mostly. Up until I discovered this Tung Oil and Citrus Solvent I used mineral oil and beeswax. I was very content with the results I got, but the water stopped beading up on the boards after only a limited number of uses and cleanings. That meant that I needed to reapply the mix frequently. After getting and applying this product, water beads up even after weeks of using the cutting boards we have in our kitchen. As a consequence, I feel like the boards are more fully sealed against contamination and I feel confident the boards will last nearly forever with care. They also look fantastic with the grain in the wood "popping" out. Just great product. Easy to apply, durable, and enhances the appearance of my products.

This product is high-quality and a pound stretched really far. I used it on acacia butcher block countertops and it made the grain pop beautifully! I also used it to refresh my older wood cabinets. This product goes on smoothly and isn't fussy, I used a sponge brush and waited about 12-24 hours between coats. It is food safe upon curing and already thinned with citrus solvent so it will absorb well. Highly recommended!

Finished my birch butcher block bar table. Looks great and I love it. Scent is strong, smells like orange cleaner times 10. It's not unpleasant, but its overwhelming. I wouldnt use again unless I could keep windows open, or use it outdoors. It took 3 days to mellow, and a week later I can still smell it when im close. Glad it wasn't mineral spirits though. I think I will use plain tung oil for maintenance, but I will surely use again on future wood projects.
