Great tasting and nice texture for a lite product

This product has no additives. I ordered it for a friend who is very sensitive to the guar gum and other items often added to milk products. She was very happy about getting it, and I kept some cans for myself. Even though this is a lite product, it has a nice consistency when stirred so that the fat and water meld. It has a great taste, and as advertised, no additives. I use it in my morning fruit smoothy and intend to try some recipes as well. I will be buying it again.
... organic coconut products i have ever used were not like that. then the taste is a bitter/sour flavor

coming out of the can the product was an off-putting gray color which i thought was strange since other organic coconut products i have ever used were not like that. then the taste is a bitter/sour flavor. so it looks gross and tastes gross. is it rotten or spoiled? i attempted to use this 2 different times in pina colada smoothies. had to dump the smoothies both times. my kid and i both could not consume the smoothies.
Not the way it used to be

Very disappointed. I have ordered this product in the past and received a very creamy, rich coconut milk. I've opened two cans (hoping the first was just a weird batch) and it's basically coconut water with some coconut oil chunk in it. I'm hoping I can return the 10 unopened cans.
Change in quality

I have been ordering this product monthly for over a year, and I noticed a great change in quality since the change of label, two or three months ago. It used to have a thick and creamy substance, which was perfect to make whipped cream, but now is mostly a blend of watery and oily, as if they were mixing a watered down coconut milk with coconut oil. The oily part has the same consistency than coconut oil. I believe the original product had somehow more pulp/less water and less oil. It would be GREATLY APPRECIATED if the manufacturer or distributor would explain the change in the quality of this product.
I give 3 stars because I still occasionally use this product for smoothies and mixed drinks in which I used to add a tablespoon of coconut oil instead.

Actual coconut taste, but the price?

I bought this for the first time with a ten dollar discount that makes each can roughly $2.50. I have used a few cans so far, and I must say this is the best tasting canned coconut milk I've had. It tastes like actual coconut, whereas the others I've tried have tasted disgusting. When I first opened a can, I thought that this wasn't coconut cream. It was all watery and chunky at the bottom, but once I put it in the refrigerator, it was apparent that there was coconut cream and water in it. I could find the coconut oil "hardenings," and all of the good stuff found in coconut meat!
With the fact that I paid ten dollars less for my first purchase, I don't think I'll buy this again for the full price. I think $2.50 a can is reasonable.
