It holds nicely when turning the handle. I have used the really thin plastic cutting sheets or teflon sheets under it to make transferring my spiralized veggies a breeze. I looked at the many options on Amazon before deciding on the Brieftons model and am so glad that I chose it. Not only do I find the product to be well made and so very functional, they offered me several books to download with recipes that I really appreciated when new to using it. Great product.
