Awesome remote - works great!

Our LiftMaster garage door was in need of replacement remotes. Our old remotes looked like they came straight from the 1980s. Thankfully, I purchased this remote along with the key chain remote -- each remote is lightweight and modern. The seller was fast to ship and very professional. We are very happy! We have now purchased a third! I highly recommend this product. One thing to note, if you have older model remotes, programming the new one will de-program the old ones. Be sure to locate the manual for how to reprogram the old ones.
Problem programming the remote

I had problems programming this remote. I bought a Liftmaster model 893 to replace a 20year old remote that died. After multiple attempts to program the remote, I got it working. However, my other [non failed] 20 year old remote now would not work. "OK" I thought, I like the new one and I have 3 vehicles. I will buy two more. So I ordered two 890 models. [Note that the 890 and 893 models use the same instruction sheet for programming.] They arrived and I programmed the two 890's in short order but then the 893 model no longer worked and I could not get it to program. The programming instuction on the door opener motor housing are different than the printed instructions supplied with the 890 & 893 models. The YouTube video from Liftmaster for programming these remotes is different than the printed instruction and the one on the motor housing. None of these variations worked to get the 893 going again. I now have two functioning 890 remotes and no intent to buy more until necessary.

Worked like a charm for our Liftmaster garage door opener that was installed when the house was built back in 2000. Was worried as the opener that came with the unit was a different model # but my research said this 893 max would work and it did! I highly recommend this product and the seller was top notch too!
Excellent Garage Door Opener

Great garage door opener. I went to YouTube and watched a video how to install it. Don't try it by reading directions in the paper or you will mess up. Followed the YouTube video and programmed it correctly. Very pleased with the remote because it has better distance than my car installed remote. Also it's important to have a back-up in the event you want to reprogram it with another vehicle or for safety purposes.
Replacement and it works perfectly

Had to replace my old Liftmaster remote and this works perfectly. Programming was easy (even for me!) The only thing I dislike is that opening the remote to change the battery is very difficult. In both my old one and the new one prying it apart felt like I was going to crack the thing in two. It didn't, but it's not easy. Fortunately I didn't have to change the battery in my old one for about five years, so it's not something you have to deal with very often
