Great tabletop radio for the money. Full nice sound. Yes, there is a surprising amount of bass for this little radio, but it is not too much for me with classical and Christian hymns on FM. AM is decent, but I prefer using a portal for AM. However, for a monaural radio, you can not expect it to have the detail of a decent stereo system. For this reasonable price, you get a good quality tabletop radio made with quality materials and looks great on bookshelf

We wanted a wood cabinet table radio for the living room that also pulls in hard to reach stations: the Sangean works beautifully for us to meet our needs. We love classical music, and this radio pulls in a station from 60 miles away that we enjoy, The sound and tone are excellent, with easy adjustments: we live in a smaller city with a not-very-sophisticated classical station. So now we can listen to the "big city" station with pleasure and no static or interference of another station "bleeding" into the one desire.
Radio can be use with a Timer

I had been searching for a radio that could be used with a timer to automatically turn on/off, and repeat. I had purchased several radios that did not work with a timer. This one does!! I can set the on/off time and leave it. Great to use when away from home or anytime. It is a bit pricey.

Love this radio. Quality item with a classic look. Taking of one star off however because I ordered the WR-11SE model specifically liking the darker color of the wood. Upon opening out of the box to my dissapointment it was the other model with the lighter colored wood. The box and back of the unit however said WR-11SE. It appears that the wrong color wood was put on my unit. Not sure if this was an honest mistake or they were out of the darker color because when I placed my order the light wood model was available immediately but the dark wood model had a 2 to 3 week wait however I received mine much earlier than that.

I recently purchased the SANGEAN WR-11 Table Top Radio because I wanted to listen to sports/talk radio in my kitchen, didn't want the hassle of always having to go online and stream through my computer. First off reception (AM) is great and I was pleasantly surprised by the rich sound quality, simple to use, old school does the trick plus looks sharp. If you are looking for a simple radio to operate that sounds good I would definitely recommend this radio.
