Has worked on everything I’ve used it for
Rutherford•October 16, 2017
This product saved my little dog's life. It's also saved my relationships with visitors and is why I am willing to dog sit a relative's high-maintenance dog. It is easy to use and it works well, on anything. I've used it to remove very old stains and all kinds of fresh body fluids and food stuffs. It took days, but I even removed all traces of human urine someone deposited all over my guest bed.
How I use it:
Saturate the area/s with the Rug Doctor Urine Spray.
Lay a wet, white cloth over the saturated area and leave; Easy!
(The dampness keeps the natural enzymes in the Rug Doctor Urine Spray eating the natural enzymes in the offending substance. The white is to prevent color transfer, plus you can see the offensive leavings being pulled into the cloth. For the mattress, I covered it in the spray and wet cloths, repeatedly.)
When the cloth is dry, I pick it up. That's it.
If I can still see any of the offending substance/stain, I do it again until I can't see it anymore.
After I can't see the stain or substance anymore, I sniff all around the area and if I detect any residue odor then I know some of the substance is still there whether or not I can see it. I keep repeating the process until I get no whiff whatsoever of the offender; then I know it is truly all gone.
It's so easy to spray and throw down damp cloths that I have no problem keeping at it until the substances or stains are truly gone.

I Love my Dogs!

I have FOUR dogs!
I love my dogs!
I am a hard-working individual, and sometimes, I don't come home at the usual "on-time", time.
And sometimes, my dogs get mad, and do things to let me know.
(I love my dogs)
THIS Rug Doctor Platinum Urine Eliminator Spray is a lifesaver.
It works very well, and removes smells VERY quickly.
Thank you Rug Doctor.
(Damn Dogs!)

"Whats the difference?" from the original, you ask

MIGHT be more concentrated, that I cannot tell. What I do know is that this has a much more noticeable scent: Not overpowering and over-perfumey like Febreze, maybe like cutting a lemon from 5' away vs cutting a lemon from 15' away (?). Not a long lasting scent, so if it offends it dissipates as soon as the product dries (quicker if you soak an area). Helps with urine, not a forever cure (if I press my nose in the carpet, I can still smell from down in the padding. Weird how that urine can penetrate the padding but the Rug Doctor can't. Ugh) . Does help with the smell in my vehicle, when I left a window cracked and it rained in Georgia humidity and I didnt notice for about a week.
Best Urine Eliminator!

I've tried other urine elimination products on Amazon and every one also carried at Kroger & Walmart. I even tried one from Stanley Steemer. This one is far superior and is the only one that truly gets rid of the urine smell. We have a rescue dog that is almost 10 years old. Right after we rescued her this past fall, she had surgery to remove a bladder stone the size of a small egg. She occasionally now has bladder issues that cause her not to make it outside. This Rug Doctor product has removed the lingering odors in my daughter's bedroom carpet that we couldn't quite get rid of even after a professional cleaning. We purchased a new area rug for our living room last month, and she had an accident on it a week later. I cleaned it up and also treated both the rug and rug pad with this. Absolutely no odor remains - and my family complains that my sense of smell is entirely too sensitive. I highly recommend this!
Wish I didn't need it so often.

Between pets and little kids, I've become accustomed to different carpet and upholstery cleaners. If price was not a consideration, this would probably be at the top of my list. And since Amazon usually has it for less than five bucks, it also happens to be on the cheap side.
If you follow the directions: spray the affected area, put a wet towel over it, let it dry... you're probably going to love this. It works really, really well. On the other hand, if you're looking for something to quickly spot treat, this isn't the product for you. You need about 24 hours of a damp towel over the area for this to work properly. (That's not just me spouting off the instructions. That's the voice of experience speaking.)
The smell isn't too terrible, but you'll also want to air the area for a bit. The only real downside is that this absolutely can make a little wet spot look like a huge wet spot on gray carpet an upholstery. Beware.
