For some reason they crackle when they get to a certain volume (not that high, maybe 18 before issues). I ran new cables. Am i missing something, no issues with the others and it was the same issue i had with the others. Never had the problem prior to new head unit. Have a new wiring harness to test the theory that it may somehow be the issue...

These were the biggest speakers that I could cram a pair of, (wanted some sense of sterio) into an existing single speaker space on the dash of my old Benz. The ONLY reason I gave them 4, instead of 5 stars, is the downright ridiculous claim that they are "full range". I used them with a pair of 300Hz bass blockers, and for the price, the sound quality is fantastic! There is a pair of 6x9s in enclosures in the rear footwells, and these little speakers do not get lost or covered up at all. In all honesty though, I not one who tries to make my ears bleed. Anyway, the point is, these little powerbass speakers are great mid to upper range, as part of a bigger system. I wanted decent modern sound without destroying a pristine 45 year old car interior, or my wallet... These fit the bill wonderfully!
