I like this pen. I got it for my AKK puppy and it took her less then 10 days to figure out how she could collapse a side and get out. So then I zipped on the top and it took her a day to figure out if she went around the top and push with her nose until she found the zipper then she could push the zipper enough to open it up and then collapse the side and get out. Issues with having a smart dog. So now I have put a safety pin in the zipper so she cant move it. So now her and my older dog will sleep in there together at night and she hasn't escaped anymore. For potty training a puppy it is probably too big, too much room to move around. But if you are just trying to contain them from your house or having accidents elsewhere, this works. It is easy to move, lightweight. the pockets are nice for toys. I have never tried the bag. My Siamese cat likes it a lot and will defend it as her territory from the puppy, that just is an added bonus for entertainment for me.

If you are like me, and refuse to put your furry family member into an ugly uncomfortable metal dog crate prison cage, but still want a safe enclosure, that both you and your pet feel comfortable with, I have the solution in just one word, ZAMPA. I researched crates for hours, once I discovered these playpens, I spent another couple of hours researching each and every brand and style. I'm pretty sure I could qualify for expert status now! I can assure you, I've compared features, durability aspects and styles of every brand available and Zampa stood out from the rest of the pack right from the get go. This playpen has a modern style that will look attractive in any room of the house, the canvas material is very thick and the screen mesh material is better than I imagined it would be. it doesn't look cheap or mass produced, in fact it looks like a custom made designer product, and I couldn't find a single stitch out of place. It comes with a very nice storage bag that matches the color of the playpen accents, and small tent stakes that I keep inside the pocket of the playpen. The top screen and bottom panel can easily be removed because they are attached with a sturdy zipper. Bottom line is that my dogs love it. I allow them to go in and out freely when I am home, and when I leave, I simply zip the door closed. (There are two doors, I just keep the rear facing door closed) and I know my dogs are safe and comfortable while I'm gone. As you can see from the photo's, my two chihuahua's love their playpen. I bought the 45" playpen in maroon, and there is plenty of room for their huge bed, and all their toys.

I have an 8 year old, silky terrier that has always hated the kennel. We have a had traditional kennel since he was a puppy and he has always had anxiety while in it. He would shake and cry and it was terrible. Unfortunately, he is also destructive when we are not home. He is a spiteful peer and pooper. He also would chew the moldings if put in a room by himself.

Recently he has gotten worse and we came home and he had ripped teeth out trying to get out of the kennel. We knew something had to change.

We ordered this kennel because I didn't think he would be able to hurt his teeth and nails because of the canvas and never anticipated that he would love it.

The first time I put him in the playpen, I had someone come in to work on the house. He hates when strangers are in the house and he can't sniff them and is restrained. He was in the playpen for three hours as the man worked and did not bark once.

Later on that day my dog could sense we were getting ready to leave and walked into the playpen by himself. After being used to spending forever trying to pull him out from underneath beds and various hiding spots, this is amazing.

Very surprised at how sturdy this product was. I was also glad to see a couple of improvements from the previous model. The top mesh covering is zippered, giving you the option to keep the top opened or zip it shut. There are two zippered mesh side "doors"... with the Velcro at the top of each door, giving you the option to roll up the mesh and keep it out of the way. The floor to this product, is securely sewn, so your pet cannot escape from under it. Two pockets and one mesh pocket, on the outside, are convenient for storage. The entire product could easily be hosed or wiped clean. Overall, the materials are made with good quality. I really was surprised by the actual size... it's pretty spacious. Before buying, I read a lot of the reviews, unsure if this size would be good for my dog (maltese). In the picture below, you can see that my dog and my 13 year old fit inside, with some wiggle room. Even with this product being so spacious, you can fold it up, to fit inside of a carrying bag (included), making it easily portable.
If I HAD to come up with a con, it would be that the mesh material, even though it's not made with a cheap mesh, could be scratched through by a determined pet.
Otherwise, I am completely happy with this product!

I bought the Zampa for my sister's new puppy so that they can visit our house without my sister having to spend her whole day running after an 8-week old puppy in a "cat" house that is most certainly not puppy-proof. The Zampa was affordable and had great reviews, so I decided to take a chance. I am so happy to say that I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase! The Zampa is large enough to give Alek (he's a 10.8 lbs white Labrador, so he's pretty big for his age) plenty of room to play, without taking up too much room in the den. My sister lined the bottom of the Zampa with puppy pads, but Alek had an accident where he managed to urinate on the one inch of space not covered by a puppy pad, so my sister quickly wiped down the floor of the Zampa just to be safe. She reported back that the Zampa was very easy to clean and that there was no lingering wetness or odor after she cleaned. Like an energetic walker on The Walking Dead, Alek bit and knawed on most of the cage when he was left to his own devices, but there have been no rips or tears. Plus, he looked adorable trying to bite vertical, screened surfaces. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!!
