This DAC does its' job and it is inexpensive .

I watch TV most mornings before my wife gets up. To keep from bothering her, I use Sony wireless headphones. Our LG smart TV does not have an audio out to connect my wifeless headphones. Instead It provides an Optical S/PDIF port; so, I had been connecting them to the cable box. When I installed an Amazon Fire Stick I wasn't able to use the headphones as they are not bluetooth. So, I search for a solution and found out about this type of device. This DAC uses a 5V power supply, like you would use with your cell phone, but it is not included. They did supply the propitiatory USB cable with male USB on one end making it compatible with many of today's chargers. The unit has a red Power LED showing that it is on, but you can't turn it off. So, I bought a powered device that will power both this DAC and the Fire Stick that has a power switch. I've only had the unit for about 1 week and it might be a bit too soon to rate it, but I got an email from the seller requesting that I do. The DAC does its' job and it is inexpensive .

I have an Alienware Alpha computer and the only sound I had was through the hdmi cable and the monitor and it was very hard to hear.. I researched and found the only other option was an optical port. This adapter allowed me to connect to the optical port and then connect my speakers to it. I researched for a solution on Amazon and found the Esynic Dac and thought it was just what I needed and came with everything I needed. I used the 3.5mm port to connect my bose computer speakers but it also had the option for RCA jacks. I couldn't be happier with my purchase I now have crystal clear sound that I can adjust the volume on.

You need to supply 5 volt USB power before you can even test the unit and the USB power cable is a bit too short. Once I borrowed an AC to USB power plug the device worked fine to provide analog audio over RCA output from Samsung HDTV that by design no longer provides analog audio output. The eSync device is well made and has both RCA and Optical input connections as well as optical cables, so as I already said only the AC to USB power plug is missing. It would make sense to provide that for a slight increase in cost, and I would have given this review 5 stars.

Great product. Worked as expected. Simple Setup. Very Affordable. No issues at all. USB powered so I just plugged it into my PS4 USB port so that I could run sound to a stereo while HDMI went to a projector that didn't have RCA outs. The other cable went into the optical out on the PS4. No configuration on the PS4 needed, either.

You should! If you are debating buying this- IT WORKS! OK- so from the flat screen audio (Optic audio- so cool to consider the tech!) to converter then off to Phillips Sound system (Bleck! on Phillips!) insert into AUX input jack- works great! BUT- yes, another post indicated that you need to turn up the volume WAY UP to get decent volume from little itsy bitsy Esynic -the danger- unplug and FORGET TO LOWER THE VOLUME and BOOM! or something like that. So, in order to enjoy this little bridge of Past and present tech- "TURN IT DOWN"! No, I wrote a glowing report for this product and all I got was a T-shirt saying "thanks"- NOT!- NO COMP FOR THIS- CONSUMERS UNITE!
