Himalayan pink salt is the new, hip gourmet salt being recommended for everything from fermenting to table use. It contains extra minerals which is why it is pink, and is even being touted as "healthier" salt. I bought the fine grain for shaker use and quick dissolve when fermenting, but the coarse kind is great in salt grinders and still prompts some conversation with the not yet hip. Some say it is a cleaner flavor and less intense than ordinary table salt. It absolutely has no iodine or flow agents that uber cooks despise because they muddy the flavor profile.This bag is a relatively inexpensive way to upscale your salt shaker.

After reading about this salt and realizing it's properties, I ordered with the intension of making a facial scrub and adding coconut oil which also has its special properties. This is a wonderful scrub and moisturizer. I would order again.

It tastes beyond amazing. I took barely a pinch and put it in my coffee, I put it into the cup.
The result, my coffee is deeper, richer, with a dark chocolate flavor.
Like Mexican drinking Chocolate. I used it with a veggie stew last night, 10 stars.
It truly enhances what you put it on or in, verses salting it ..that salt is all you taste.

I don't use metal spoons for stirring because there's a cause of the chemical reaction. That's the first thing I sip when I wake in the morning and even after I ate dinner.I make sure I drink another glass of water after I drink it. But sometimes if I don't feel like adding lemon but it's fine. Since I started doing it I lose 10 lbs and I feel light. I barely feel heavy and I am having a good sleep. This one worked for me that's why I no longer use regular salt when I am cooking too. I purchased three more bags of this salt and share it with my sister in law and my mom. The supermarket price was $5.85. I found the 2 pound Sherpa Pink for $9.98 for on sale. I recommend checking the Sherpa selection. I bought the extra-fine grain. Sherpa Pink is tasty and is a nice color too. The bag is sturdy enough to last until salt is gone. I recommend Sherpa for prompt fulfillment of product order and quality items. I would buy this item again.
