Gifted this licorice to my uncle who LOVES quality black licorice with anise. He ripped into this bag and shared a few pieces with his adult children. They also commented the taste is good, not overly strong or sugary tasting and the anise licorice flavor was all natural which they loved. This licorice didn't do much for me. It was very, very sticky and the flavor was not exactly what I was expecting. It is definitely licorice, but with a heavy under-flavor of something... what comes to mind is chicory. At any rate, we all have our own preferences, this licorice just didn't fit into mine. I don't regret buying and trying it because I would have wondered about it. Now I know I won't be buying it again. If you really like licorice a lot, then I suggest trying it - you might like it.

I ordered 5 different licorices to do a taste test for future supply, decided Panda brand is my clear favorite. AND, only 4 ingredients, all natural, as a bonus! The brand name might throw you off, thinking it's made in China like everything else, but no, it's a great export from Finland of all places. I've known that the Scandanavians are masters at making proper licorice, and Panda brand confirms it. Note to seller OxKom: ya might wanna think about a new company name, the one you're using is kinda misleading. It brings to mind Soviet oxtail soup, komrades!
