Needs an on/off switch

Works well hanging on my pack when hiking. Seems to give very accurate readings compared to a known accurate thermometer. The app works but is underwhelming. I think others have mentions it should have an on/off switch. You have to remove battery to turn off if you want to prolong battery life between uses. I only use when hiking so no need to have on 24/7.

This thing is great. I got the red one. Opened the back and pulled off the plastic then downloaded the app.. now I have a handy temperature reader. I'd buy it again and I would recommend it.

My Elgato Eve died, and current reviews of that device were terrible. So I purchased this instead. I live in Wisconsin and use it to track outdoor temperature (just for fun).
My complaint is around battery life. This device operates off of a single 2032 lithium button cell. Even with a new battery, it reports that the battery is low any time the temperature drops below 30 degrees. Now, it has continued to work so far, but we haven't gotten to the coldest part of the winter yet. It is supposed to drop below 0 degrees next week. I am concerned that it will stop working. And I'm not too keen on replacing the battery every month.

Used this to monitor the temp in the back of the car for the dogs while driving. Fabulous for that purpose. However, range on this is poor. The app only got two bars while in the same car, and it cannot find the device 20ft away in the same room with no obstructions. Disappointed with that, since I bought it to use to monitor vehicle temp while I am away from the car.
