Works as expected

This fits and works pretty much as expected from the reviews I had read prior to purchasing. It does fit all four of my drains, thank goodness. The strap doesn't stay fitted to where you place it but a safety pin or temporary velcro should help with that. I had rigged up a lanyard-type piece (I cut the hemmed bottom of a t-shirt) to go around my neck and keep the drains from pulling against my skin but wanted something better for showering.
Very useful during post-op recovery

This has been one of the most useful items for patient recovery following breast surgery, when the patient is commonly discharged from the hospital with multiple drains from the surgery site(s). The drains are not removed for a week or so, and this shower belt is a useful way to discreetly carry the drains under clothing as one gradually assumes one's usual activities. Although the drains have plastic clips that can be clipped to clothing, the clips seem to slip off thinner materials resulting in the drains dangling below one's robe, tunic or big shirt, and tugging on the wound. The shower belt is also great for carrying the drains during showering, but then the wet material would need to dry off before being used under daytime clothing, unless you have two belts. This seemed to be a relatively expensive for what it is, but the adjustable elastic belt and nylon pockets are made of high quality materials, and the belt is functional and well made, so I am satisfied. However, I would have bought two of these belts if the price were a bit lower.
Should be in every hospital!

Bought 2, my dad had two infections (liver & gall bladder) that needed JP drains. I couldn't find anything besides pink mastectomy blouses to accommodate having two drains, until I found the Brobe. Every nurse we've encountered has remarked on how great it is, and they usually end up using safety pins which can pop open and stick you. It has helped him move about without worrying about dropping them or tugging them by accident.
Best product to handle horrible drains!!!!!

I had a mastectomy with immediate reconstruction due to BRCA2. This shower belt was a lifesaver. I actually didn't use it in the shower. I used it all day long so that I wouldn't have to worry about carrying my drains. It was super light and fit my two drains (I believe it can fit up to 4 drains total) without issue. I even slept with it because without it, I was worried my drains would get smushed or open when I shifted in bed. Without this belt, the annoyances of drains would have been so much worse! I don't know how people function on a daily basis without something like this to hold the drains. Best product ever. Surgeons should be giving these out as a post-op need! The belt is adjustable and I did add a safety pin so that it wouldn't loosen on its own. But that was just a minor change I made to it to fit my needs better. I would recommend this to anyone that has post-op drains. My mom had the same procedure a few weeks before me and she used this as well and she too loved it.
It worked really well and I like that it dries quickly

I wore this post mastectomy to hold my drains while in the shower. It worked really well and I like that it dries quickly. I gave it 4 stars, because you need to secure it tightly. If its loose, the belt will 'unhook' and fall off.
