Works well, but have to play w/different widths & shoes. If you spend alot of time switching out the bottom, ( I did it 2x), found the glue that held things in place was pulling off. Once I figured out the most appropriate shoes, etc. worked better @ protecting my back w/Achilles tendon rupture boot.

I originally stuck this on a Skechers slip-on type shoe. That just didn't work, because the way the grips are supposed to hold to a shoe's sole, you really need some indentations (running shoes' treads) along the side for the EvenUp to grab on and stay.
So make sure you have a shoe that doesn't have slick, even sides along the edge of sole and upper.
Then, once my uninjured foot was in the EvenUp and my injured foot was in a comfortable stablizer boot, I had both my physiotherapist and my chiropractor have a look at how my hips matched up. You will not necessarily be able to see or feel any degree of mismatch, if you are looking in the mirror. But these two specialists saw from the back how my hips still needed a bit of a boost. I had to supplement the EvenUp with a 3 mm lift to compensate.

We bought this for my husband to use while being in an aircast boot for several weeks after fracturing his tibia, fibula and ankle. This elevated his other leg to even out his hips and reduce the limping along created by the boot. You can adjust the height by adding or removing layers of the sole. It attaches to an athletic shoe very easily. We have not tried other types of shoes. His PT was pretty impressed with this and had not seen one before. He took down the information of the product to look into it further to recommend to clients.
I can’t give it a five.

This actually caused me more pain on my good foot. I guess I'm terrible at walking in platform shoes or something because I ended up in worse pain using these.

now I would say if you're good at walking in platform shoes, this is a great idea but for me, without this security of some extra straps to kind of hold the add-on in place, it's slid around caused my good ankle pain, and honestly has made my last two days Hell.

But I still would recommend this product for people because there are two things that make my situation bad that this company couldn't have planned for.

I am hyper flexible, and I Am autistic.

Which means my bones in my joints. Do not work in the normal way. My bones are way more flexible and my muscles are more rigid. I need a strap that is going to wrap around the bottom of this platform shoe and then around my ankle and then back onto the platform shoe for me to be fully comfortable. I felt like there wasn't enough security, support, but with my conditions of loose joints and tight muscles, I'm not surprised.

I was hoping this would work out with a full expectation that it wouldn't. But I honestly felt like when it was working it made my life a lot easier. But the minute it wasn't the pain it caused was too much.

So I would say if you have ehlers danlos (EDS) or hyper flexibility, maybe stay away from this product and if you don't, you should get it protect your hips.!!!!
Don't use a boot without one of these on the other foot!

I had foot surgery, and was in a boot for a bit over a month afterwards.
My doctor supplied the boot, but a youtube video on bunion surgery recovery advised one of these, lest the added height of the boot lead to back problems.
When I started walking a little bit around the house, I was surprised at how little time it took for a back ache to begin.
These really are essential to bring the other foot up to the height of the boot. They have a number of pieces with different thicknesses to allow you to get things evened up.
