i have two, Both have lids which are cracked. right under the label and goes beyond. have to glue or tape it to cover the opening. defective because this is a low - stress area, under the tape and hardly under any stress or strain with opening and closing.

too bad. i would have gotten another model --- don't get this one. look at the 40# model with the thick lid and monochromatic.
this one looked nice but it's not so good if your lid cracks.

- The lid on mine was cracked in the center when I received it. I didn't really care enough though to go through the process to return it and get a new lid. Instead I just covered the crack so the seal was still good.
= The lid is really loud, that may be a good or bad thing depending on your routine.
- It topples forward easily (side-to-side it is very stable) but it does not roll all the way forward, it will fall back down on its feet. The weight distribution of the food inside the container affects this greatly (sadly most of the weight will naturally be in the worst position because that's the side you load from).
+ It looks good/clean and doesn't take up much space
+ It keeps my dog out
+ It keeps my apartment from smelling like dog food
+ Can hold a fair amount of food for the price and footprint

Overall very impressed, durable and fits nicely in my pantry. I can't smell the dog food so I'm assuming it's fairly air tight and the food won't go stale.

However, I do think the kid needs some improvements. When you screw it off its slippery and usually flies off onto the floor, if there were some grips or maybe a connector that attached the lid to the bucket in some form that would prevent the lid always falling on the floor. Also, I'm not sure what the black piece on the bin around the lid is for, it spins around sometimes and doesn't feel secure on there but tightens when the lid is tightened, seems silly to me if it's just for decoration.

I love this. It hold a lot of food and has a small footprint. Fits nicely beside the steps and takes up very little space.

I was worried when I initially bought this because some reviews said it did not hold the advertised amount of food. and then when it arrived and opened the box it looked a bit small. However, it held the entire 40lbs bag of kirkland brand adult dog food with plenty of room to spare
