The front visor is not long enough to protect the eyes and the area right below the eyes from sun exposure, when the child looks straight ahead. The child has to look down in order to be covered, but the same would apply to just about any hat. I was hoping that this one would provide shade over that area which is hard to protect with sunscreen because we want to avoid the risk of putting some in the child's eyes.

my daughter wore this hat at the beach 2 or 3 time then i noticed where the buttons are all rusted and now you can see through the hat. other than that it's a nice hat I just wish the buttons didn't ruin the hat. It's not worth the price..
