After days of hounding by my bride to get her a damn magnifying glass I found these and picked them up. She didn't think the lights were worth the cost...the thing is 8 bucks..how bad can it be. When it arrived she fell in love with it. Sure the glass size could be a little larger, but it does what it is built for and the lights turn out to be a great addition, especially in those restaurants where they think it adds to the atmosphere to have it so dark only a cat can see the menu. No, she wasn't so happy that she tore her clothes off and yelled take me now, but it does seem to be one of those rare purchases that is worth more than I paid.

Very handy item for young and old..Even when backpacking/camping. Emergency light, firestarter, threading a needle, repairs.or just late night reading or finding stuff. One for my 5 year old Grandson who looks for bugs among other challenges.. Use two for myself and gifted one to my 96 year old Mom and 87 year old Aunt who have commented how handy they are..Battery life seems to be great as I use my two pretty much everyday with the original batteries not wearing out after over a year..Great value!!

I have been using this product for more than two weeks now. In that time, I've had an opportunity to evaluate both the quality of the product and the overall usability. In creating this review I've considered both the type of material used in making the product as well as the overall fit and finish. I've also considered how well the product meets my needs and whether there are any shortcomings or particular advantages in using this product.

For this particular product, the type of material used in the manufacture and creation of the product seems to be of very good quality. One must consider that for any product of this type there is a balance between the type of material used and the cost that is to be passed on to the consumer. I think for this product that balance has been met fairly well and I believe that the product will meet the expectations of most buyers.

With regard to the fit and finish of this particular product, I believe it to be about average for the products of similar make or style. That is to say that it is not of poor or moderate craftsmanship/finish nor is it something that I would rate as outstanding. The quality of the piece is such that I feel it is a good value for the money.

Finally, as with many products of this type, the value that a consumer sees is dependent on the expectation. When I ordered this product my expectations were moderate, especially because of the price. In an age where we demand low price but often want high quality, it is often best if we expect moderate to good quality instead. I did that with this product as was pleasantly surprised to find that the quality was at least good, if not just a tad bit better than good. For that reason, and those set out above, I'd make a recommendation to buy this product.

I gotta admit, The price being so cheap and seeing the "generic" looking box made me a little scared.
But I am pleasantly surprised, This magnifying glass is durable It has that expensive "heavy" feel to it. It works extremely well, You can use it for slivers in your skin, Drawing, Jewelry, Card collecting, and any other hobby. It has an extra place to look through on the bottom that has a higher powered magnifier! So awesome! it even has a LIGHT! Which takes 3 AAA batteries.
Its a powerful and small light that is just the right amount of brightness!

This is the worst magnifying glass that I ever had purchased . The lights are good but the glass to read an article or any letter is so very hard. Hence, I don't know if this is really a magnifying glass. I consider this is a big hoax to purchase.
