Worked perfectly on our new garbage disposal installation!

I had replace our kitchen garbage disposal, so I figured I better have some plumbers putty on hand. My Amazon search found this.
The pros:
+ $4.92 with free shipping when I bought mine. I see it cost less now!
+ Pretty good customer product reviews.
+ NET WT - 14 oz (397 g)
+ Advertised - smooth & uniform consistency, non-hardening, non-staining.
+ Advertised - soft clay like, easily moldable putty.
+ Advertised - gas proof & highly water resistant.
+ Advertised - easy to use, will not stick to fingers.
+ Advertised - for setting bowls, faucets, rims, strainers, other similar sealing and caulking jobs.
+ Advertised - RoHS compliant.
+ Advertised - not for marble installations.
The cons:
- This comes in a plastic container with VERY loose, poorly fitting lid. â—„ It is advertised - "will not harden, crack or shrink, even if can is left open" Perhaps a tightly fitting lid is not important?
- Has a "use by date", expiration date, around 2 years.
- No country of origin. On the container or in the listing? â—„ For those that like to know where things are made.
