Excellent knife

Nice knife but the sheath has a design flaw. It's certainly not a spectacular knife, but I will wear it and get good use out of it.
The blade needed a little sharpening as I was catching the edge on my fingernail when I first removed it from the box. The grip is rubber, but I can see how that would deteriorate after a while (we'll see). You couldn't use this knife for bush craft or something, but you could certainly use it as a means of self defense.
The plastic sheath can be unscrewed and the sides rearranged if you wish to be able to draw it from a vertical position instead of horizontal. I prefer the horizontal position from the center of the back, like shown in one of the pictures.
At first I had this marked as 4 star for a bad design with the sheath but after a little while of removing from the sheath, it's become much easier to manage. It just takes a little time for the plastic sheath to loosen up a little bit.

The horizontal sheath this comes with lets me comfortably wear it like a belt buckle everyday. The whole this is super light and I can make it almost entirely disappear under a fitted t-shirt. I wear it on a Blue Force Gear belt, which makes having a something on me just about everywhere I go too easy regardless of what I am wearing or what I have planned for the day.

Ok knife but disappointed in how dull blade was. Can rectify that but expected a little more from a Gerber product. Bought primarily for sheath system but after receiving today I kind of wish I had went with the SOG Instinct. Just saw the SOG after I had pulled the trigger on this one. Much better price and has 360 degree sheath which allows for horizontal wear too.

Great blade. The strap fits perfectly around the ankle. The blade is easily deployed but extremely sturdy and secure while in the strap. You do not have to worry about it moving around or slipping, even if upside down or moving quickly. This blade is a perfect small blade. Very sharp, lightweight and feels secure and mobile in the hand. Easy to maneuver. Awesome.

The weight is 3.52oz with sheath. I didn't see this published or in any reviews. I bought this for UL backpacking and a minimalist fixed-blade where I had no need of any Bushcraft or heavier utility. FWIW, the standard SS Morakniv Companion (also in sheath) is only .64oz more with a 4.1" blade. Granted the tang is not deep, works as a filet knife.
