It works really well. I like the idea, the only thing I didnt like was that the adhesive they send with it is terrible and it only stays in place for a day or two and then you have to find a new way to keep it in place. Its a shame. Its a nice product, why the manufacturer would not want to ensure that it was useful I have no idea.

I bought this for about $30 ten months ago and LOVED it for all the reasons other reviewers love it. Today it stopped working. I'm hugely disappointed because I sew a lot and bought this based on great reviews. I can no longer return it so I ask myself, is it worth $3 a month (for the time that it worked) to have good lighting when I sew? I need the extra light so the answer for me is yes. I'll buy it again unless I find a better brand with more longevity.
UPDATE: Erica from Inspired LED addressed the problem I had with this light and remedied it promptly. Now my light strip works again and I can sew happily! I'm super impressed with their customer service.

WOW. This light strip took less than 5 minutes to "install" and made a world of difference on my Juki TL-2010 sewing machine. I am attaching a Before and After photo. I can't recommend this enough. I can't speak to its longevity yet, but I can say that even if it only lasted 6 months I would still buy it again. I sew every day.

I'm in my 70's and need a super lighted area for my applique. The light was so easy to install and I was excited to use it. But, though it lights the neck of my Bernina, it still casts a shadow in the needle shank area and if I don't have my built in light on it is not as bright as needed. I'm really disappointed as I thought this was the remedy to my goose neck one that is very bright and I can move it to any position but IT gets in the way of threading the needle and the cord is cumbersome and gets in the way, too. So, I'll use the Inspired one and hope that there will be one that shines directly on the needle area, one that has no cord........The cord is short for my machine and reaches but doesn't give me maneuverability in placement.

As this light is more economical than the lights usually advertised in quilting catalogs, I will be ordering more sets (for other machines) soon. The light is bright (see photos), installation is simple, service was prompt, and packaging adequate. I am thrilled with this light as the other brand was too expensive and I had to do my quilting on this machine before dark. This light provides all the light I need to work long after dark, and I think it has even improved the quilting I do in the daylight. GREAT PRODUCT!
