Instantly leaks gas upon install.

I wish I would have read the negative reviews before purchasing. The gasket between the intake manifold and the carburetor barely fits, but that wasn't a huge deal. After installation it immediately started leaking gas. I'm not talking about a small leak either. A thin stream of gas was steadily pouring out of the intake straw and to a lesser extent, out of the general intake hole. Who knows how much gas this leaked into my crankcase while I was troubleshooting. When I finally removed it, gas poured out of the back side that connects to the intake manifold. I might have just destroyed my engine because of this crappy part.
Inhales and is semi important. Good seller. I think this is for a Smart for Two car.

This important item is not a fuel injector. It uses the Bournelli principle to suck. GAS, and vaporize to a stoichiometric ratio of 14.7 : 1

I love this carburetor. It is a bolt on component. Everything fits great and the mower roars back to life just like new. I had disassembled and cleaned the original carburetor twice and I was able to get the mower running but it stuttered. Now, with this entirely brand new carburetor the mower engine runs at a steady speed and it takes no more than two pull to start. For the cost of this carb from now on I will simply replace carburetor and will not bother to disassemble and clean anymore.
One thing about this purchase is one have to be patient. The delivery time is rather long. If you don't have patience it is best to order an extra unit and keep it in your part inventory for instant switching.

Lawnmower wouldn't run. Tried using a rebuild kit for the existing carb to no avail. Bought this little carb, popped it on & was mowing again in no time. For the price of this unit compared to the money for the rebuild kit (which didn't help), I should've just bought this in the first place. Only a couple dollars more, way easier & it actually works!

The cost was a great deal, installation was easy, and it has been working perfectly. I was considering just buying a new mower *over $300) and then thought about seeing in a replacement carburetor could be found on Amazon. This was under $20 and after installation the mower started right up.
